Beautifully decorated home with a well stocked kitchen, everything we needed and more. Cozy beds and extra blankets for snuggling on the couch We loved the thoughtful treats left for us by the host. She went way above our expectations. We explored the local beach and found come great little shops , a distillery and restaurants in town. Grabbed some fresh oysters to take back and cook for dinner. Gathering around the firepit was a great way to end our days. We highly recommend this home and look forward to returning soon.
Our family spent two nights at this house last week and enjoyed our stay. It was very clean, nicely decorated, and had several amenities (including a helpful directory with information about the house and local area). The house was as shown in the pictures.
There are only a few restaurants in the area so plan accordingly. The house is well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc. My husband enjoyed the K-cups and Keurig machine! I will note that Hama Hama Oyster Saloon was a great spot to try the local oysters and clams.
The house is not far from the Staircase entrance to Olympic National Park and other hiking trails. The private beach access is about 15 minutes from the house and was much nicer than the public beach access. We were looking forward to using the provided kayak but did not have a way to transport it to the private beach area (need a truck or rack on your vehicle to do so). We went to the public beach to rent a kayak there and enjoyed the views while out on the water, but the 'beach' was very rocky (needed shoes in the water to walk) and had very little space to hang out. We were looking forward to enjoying the large outdoor fire pit in the evening, but the area was under a burn ban...maybe next time.
From the Owner: "Thank you so much for your feedback. I appreciate all of the details.
This was the 1st summer for this rental and there have been some lessons for sure.
I realize now that burn bans happen every summer and the only way around them is to use all things propane."
