Cozy Condo w/ Patio: 1 Mi to Wintergreen Resort!

  My family of five stayed here for three nights over the MLK weekend. The good: The location is fantastic if you want to be close to the ski resort. This condo is a short drive (less than 1 mile) to the resort. Parking is plentiful. The view of the golf course is pretty (it was covered in snow while we were there. There is a nice little patio with a table and chairs. The layout is great. Three spacious bedrooms, each with their own full bathroom. The host did allow us to check in two hours early. Community trash cans are nearby. Parking area and resort roads are plowed regularly and are in good shape. The bad: We didn't receive the code for the door, I had to call the host when we arrived to get the code. The residents/ guests above us were loud, it sounded like they were bowling in their place at night. The condo is extremely dated and in need of some updating and TLC. Paint peeling, flooring thresholds falling off, wobbly toilet seats, burned out light bulbs, etc. Many of the finishes look like original builder grade. Some things have been updated (faucets, light fixtures), but whoever installed them did a lousy job. Towels were limited, only one kitchen towel in the entire house. Extra blankets and pillows were thrown on the floor in the closet. Washer and dryer had to be 20 years old. The condo itself isn't as bright as shown in the pics, it's a little dark and dingy. • Great Stay

  I would like to give thanks to the owner of the property for giving us the opportunity to stay there. The property owner answered my phone call the first time I called her and was extremely courteous on the phone. Upon arrival we did notice 2 things that were taken pictures off. Damage to the floor outside of the master bedroom and damage to the closet door in the master bedroom. We did have a few unwanted guest like a few 8 legged friends and 1 little mouse that made for a little excitement. All in all the property was as described in the description listed and the bedrooms/bathrooms were bigger than pictured. I would give this place a 8/10 and would highly recommend if you would like a weekend get away with family/friends!

  Host responsiveness was great. Minutes for a reply anytime I had a question.

  Perfect accommodations for our needs. We had three couples and there were 3 queen bedrooms, each with its own fullbath.

  Everything was upgraded aside from toilet, shower, and bathroom sink, but I understand renovations happen in stages. The floors, living room, and kitchen were all redone and immaculate. Everything was clean.

  Would use this stay again!

  This was a spacious condo for our family and we enjoyed our stay. The appliances worked well, plenty of cookware, the seating / beds were comfortable. We were able to cook our meals at home and enjoy board games by the fire place. The proximity to the lodge is also great - just a three minute drive down the mountain. Lovely stay, would definitely rent again. The only issue we had was with the internal temperature. We could not seem to get the temperature under control for sleeping - the condo ran very hot. The location of the thermostat may have had something to do with this as it was located right near the front door. We turned it down to 67 and still had to sleep with no blankets. This may be something out of the owner's control, but worth noting.
