We loved this unique property! The circular fire place was a big hit, and there was plenty of space for both our families with teens to hang out. The downstairs set up was a little different as you had to go through the second master to get to the game room, 2nd bathroom and laundry. Great hot tub and really nice coffee bar/bar bar. My only critique is that the kitchen ware selection was limited (the listing does say basic). There wern’t really pans big enough to cook meals for 7 people so we ended up purchasing a large skillet and stock pot for chili. Don’t worry, we left them behind! Overall, would stay again! Location is awesome too…easy walk to the lodge!

A few buddies of mine came down in May for a few days to play some mountain golf. The house was perfect. Had plenty of room was at a perfect location built into the mountainside. It was 12° cooler there than it was down in the valley at Stoney Creek golf course which was nice. The hot tub was perfect after we played 27 holes of golf two days in a row. A hot tub is now a necessity, for our future golf trips. We are planning on returning next May and hope to stay three nights. The overlook down the street was phenomenal at sunset. It will probably look incredible in the fall with all the colors of the leaves changing, this place is a must return for our golf group. 👍🏼
Comfortable house in a nice location for hiking and hitting the breweries in the area. Kitchen was stocked with very basic utensils/cookware and had some cooking staples (oils, spices, sugar). Beds were comfortable though the downstairs bedroom is a bit awkward having to go through it to use the game room. We had beautiful weather and sat out on the deck quite a bit. Some minor repairs/sprucing up could be done but nothing that really detracted from our stay. Dishwasher was broken but we knew that ahead of time. Overall a great first time visit to the Wintergreen area.

We enjoyed the stay. The house is in a good location to take advantage of many of the hikes in the area as well as local restaurants and breweries. The weather was great for enjoying the deck and the dogs loved lounging and watching the squirrels in the woods. The kitchen had the basics for utensils/cookware etc. but could use a few more extras for convenience. The cooking oils spices and sugar etc. were nice to have on hand. The beds were comfortable though the downstairs set up was kind of awkward having to go through the bedroom to use the game room. Overall a nice stay for our first time at Wintergreen.
Overall everyone in the group had a great weekend and the house was awesome but there were a few things that could have made it slightly better. 1. the dishwasher didn’t work and there was no dish rags to clean dishes so we had to buy some. 2. There was no ice melt available to use on the many stairs so when they got icy it was very dangerous. 3. The hot tub needs a good cleaning or filter because the water smelled of mildew and the inside of the tub felt slimy. Again we had a great time and we would stay there again.
