  Check in was simple and easy. There is not a stove or oven to cook on only a microwave. You have to bring something to cook on or use the grill outside. I’m glad I brought a hot plate to cook on because at approximately 7 pm the sprinkler came on and wet the entire grill. The private beach was cute but wasn’t so private. The host that actually lives upstairs was using the beach with a friend during our stay. Also the entire place isn’t yours just the basement. The dog that he said would stay with him, he let him out on to the driveway. Whenwe returned from our store run the dog was loose and its huge. Overall we made the best of it. It was relaxing we enjoyed the pool table and the sunset/sunrise.

• Just What I Needed

  I greatly appreciated and enjoyed my stay here. It's always a little odd to think of the owner as being on-site while vacationing but that was not the case here. He was a very nice man and sociable. He made sure our outside area was clean and checked the dock and beach area for us. The area where we stayed was nicely kept and we loved the little patio. The weather, lake and environment was perfect for our stay and I would stay here again!

  The listing did not include that the location of the “apartment “ was the basement of the hosts. The hosts were pleasant but there were lots of rules.

It's currently noted in the listing that I live on site with my dog in a completely separate unit, but I understand this could have been clearer. We're updating the listing to specifically state that the guest space is the basement unit to avoid any confusion. As is standard for short-term rentals, we do have a few house rules in place. We're adding these to the listing and pre-stay to ensure they're communicated more clearly moving forward. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts."

  Was a nice place to get away for a weekend. Had a homey feel. Very nice private location and view of the lake.
