    I called the night before our departure to make sure everything was prepared and suitable. My family, 7 adults and 3 young children drove 6.5 hrs all to have Unconventional Cleaning call me after we arrived to tell me that the ac was broken and we wouldn't be able to stay there.

    The homeowner was unaccessible and communicating through Evolve was an experience in ineffective butt kissing.

    We ended up staying with the agreement, through Evolve, that we would be buying fans to cool the home and be reimbursed for the cost of them.

    After paying $200 for fans and sending the receipts, per instructions, to Evolve we did not recieve a response or reimbursement.

    The stay was terrible, but booking a hotel last minute would have cost us over $1,000.

    This was a horrible experience, our kids almost got heat stroke, no rest, and I do NOT recommend booking with Evolve.

    Hi James, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and we sincerely apologize for the challenges you experienced during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
    - We had informed Evolve about the issue, and it was recommended to find alternative accommodations. We extended you the offer to cancel the reservation with a full refund, but you politely declined and said you would like to stay aware of the issues with the AC. We understand the inconvenience this caused and appreciate your decision to stay despite the circumstances.
    - The agreement to purchase portable fans was made to help alleviate the discomfort, and we apologize for the delay in reimbursing you. We have since followed up with Evolve and can confirm you acknowledged you are now in receipt of the reimbursement.
    - We understand your frustration with the communication and apologize for any ineffective interactions you experienced with Evolve.
    - We scheduled an HVAC company to repair the A/C on July 22nd, 2024 to prevent future issues for upcoming guests.
    We regret that this stay did not meet your expectations and sincerely apologize for the discomfort and inconvenience. We appreciate your feedback so we can continue to improve and help this homeowner provide guests with the 5-star service they are known for. Thank you again for providing such valuable feedback.

    The first night I arrived at the rental the house is over 80 degrees and the AC is broken. This tells me noone inspected the property before my arrival. The guest contact was absolutely no help. They promised a tech would come and fix it. No one ever came by my second day. I had to check out and find somewhere else to stay for the rest of my vacation. Ofcourse after complaining( and they already have my money) they're only response was to contact the agency I booked with. Which is Evolve and I have yet to hear from them. You know, since they already have my money.. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING EVOLVE..

    Our daughter graduated from Hampton University and this place was not only accommodating,well maintained but more importantly it was conveniently located close to the university. 4 miles. Would stay again. Thx for having us

    Our stay was okay but the house does need some repairs. The patio is in bad need of repair as well as the plumbing. Every time we flushed the toilets up stairs there was a loud rumbling in the house for a few minutes. This became quite annoying. Fixing those issues would get great and a refresh of the decore to bring the house up to date would make it a 5 out of 5 stars.

    Regarding the patio, we acknowledge that it needs repair. We want to inform you that there are signs posted throughout the property indicating that the deck is under construction. We are currently in the process of obtaining quotes from contractors to update and repair it promptly.

    We're grateful for flagging the noise issue with the upstairs toilets. Our maintenance team will promptly address it. Despite these challenges, we hope you enjoyed your time at Hampton House.
