A little far off of the beating path, but that is not a negative in anyway! It felt like you were on two separate vacations when you would go back to your cabin! Beautiful views, beautiful grass! You can tell he truly loves what he does and his property. The pool, hot tub and sauna will be killer one day! We will be back

This cabin is located in a safe and peaceful setting with good open/common green spaces. It’s a nice enough cabin, but luxury is not a fair descriptor. I would say the pictures accurately depict the aesthetic, but not the function. Our first night was tainted by the smell of a dead mouse. The host responded quickly, removed the mouse and aired the place out. The host gifted us $50 toward our dinner for the issue. We were unable to use parts of the cabin because of smells for the remaining 3 days. The cabin was in need of a deep clean—lots of dust, spider webs, and general buildup (as was mentioned in a previous renter’s review). The towels and linens were not of a luxury quality and the toiletries were a hodgepodge of cheap brands. Some had been watered down. Not a big deal for me because I brought my own towels, linens and toiletries. I did have to go to the store to buy a few small items—new kitchen sponge and hand soap. I mention this only as an example of why luxury is a misnomer. Moving between the master bedroom and bathroom was annoying because of the tight space and the French doors in that area. The water is either very hard water that has not been treated or very hard water that has been over-softened. Either way, the water was unpleasant. Having stayed in another VRBO cabin in the past (which was comparatively amazing), I was working off a different definition of luxury.

The Gate House was a wonderful place to stay! We were there at the end of November. The cabin was so beautiful in the snow. We had plenty of wood for a fire every night in the fireplace. Authentic, attention to detail in decor and trim, antique doors, petrified wood stone fireplace, animal footprints pressed into the old terracotta floor tiles. It was warm and comfortable and exciting. The copper soaking tub was fabulous, the shower was divine with two shower heads and nice hot water. The terracotta tile floor must have been heated because it was warm. All the lights had dimmer on them which made the ambiance delightful. It was quiet with a remarkable view of the mountains just behind the cabin, watching the sky get bright in the morning between the mountain peaks was lovely. Without any bright lights around, the stars were just gorgeous at night. The kitchen appliances were state of the art. There was tea and hot chocolate available. The loft bed surrounded by windows was very cool. There was a large selection of board games. Plenty of towels and throws and the warmest blankets ever! The host was always available for any questions. It was just such a magical place....I just wanted to stay there permanently. And it was just a short trip into the quaint town of Moab and the Arches National Park. So glad we got to experience this beautiful, wonderful, exciting stay!
