  8 of us Used 5 full bottles of mosquito spray in 2 days and nights getting in and out of this house 2 days and nights instead of 3 because the real bloodsuckers on this vacation were EVOLVE and this house owner who were impossible to contact after the previous week’s hurricane. Thought for sure it would be refunded and canceled but no contact with them left my family unprepared for our first day. They weren’t about to give any money back so we showed a day late.

The homeowners ensured the property was in excellent condition after the hurricane, and previous guests had no issues. Your pre-arrival communication confirmed the property was ready and the beaches were opened starting the day of your arrival. We're sorry your experience didn't meet expectations. The homeowner would like to respond as follows:
  - Our cleaner worked diligently to prepare the property after Hurricane Beryl, ensuring it was clean, safe, and ready for your stay - and the post-storm guests who were there before you. Both the house and beach were in pristine condition upon your arrival, with documented communication sent between you and her and preparations to support this.
  - The island had a checkpoint for safety reasons, but as a guest, you were able to access the property by showing your reservation.
  - Mosquitoes can indeed be common in Gulf Coast areas, especially after a storm, and we always recommend that guests bring insect repellent.
  
  We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

• Fantastic Beach Home!

  This is a wonderful home. My family takes an annual trip to Surfside each summer. We really love how laid back the town is. We have stayed in multiple other homes over the years but this one was our favorite. It is very well equipped and is a very close walk to the beach. It is also a short walk to a beach front restaurant which has live music and decent food. The home is a newer build so all of the appliances are current. We really liked the shower on the first floor and right outside the front door on the main entry level. The washer/dryer worked well. Having all the rooms on the same level helped make us feel more comfortable with our small child. The smart TV in the living room allowed us to watch whatever we wanted and we were able to hook up our Nintendo Switch with ease. The coffee maker was combo Keurig/slow drip which was very nice. The fridge was large enough to handle everything and even had an ice maker (even though we question the water in Surfside, I used the fridge made ice and had no issues). The king bed in the main bedroom was the most comfortable in all of the homes we have stayed in. The AC kept up very well and kept us comfortable. Finally and most important, the property manager Trish was incredibly helpful. Her communication and willingness to go above and beyond is what will likely make this home our annual vacation spot. Thank you!!!

  We had such a great time admiring our stay. There were eight of us. Four adults and four kids four and under. Plenty of room for everyone. Easy access to the beach, tons of beach toys and chairs, great views from the porch. Trick was super communicative and the check in process wa super easy.
