  Excellent facilities, just the river front didn't accomplish, since the river had very low water level, we couldn't enjoy the river front amenity, and were not aware of this.Out of that, great staying in all ways.

• Spacious house with a view of the river.

  Great house for a large family. Plenty of room for my two teens and me. Steep price considering that the house is advertised River front with a dock. If your interested in only viewing the river, which was low, this will be your place. As for me and my teens, we’re bummed about no water access. So I drove my family to Gruene Hall, and enjoyed some tubing. Overall this trip was fun but could have been better and less expensive.

  From the owner, "Hi Joe, We’re very sorry if you feel like you were misled regarding the water access. There typically is water access, which is why we provide fishing poles and kayaks; however, the water level has dropped so low that it is difficult to get to. The water used to be up to the dock. We updated the listing to reflect low water levels. This seems to be typical with most waterfront properties in Texas, unfortunately. We hope this will be resolved soon, as the levy is repaired. We’d love to invite you back once the water comes back."

  This house was the perfect size and location for our party of 12 people. The house space was exactly as described and had a perfect outdoor space for us. The house was very clean and the yard was well kept unlike other reviews I’ve seen on this property. We really enjoyed this house EXCEPT…if you are renting this house to be able to get in the river. Then you should reconsider this property. The drop off from the dock to the river is about 15 foot and the bank is too steep to get down to the water. So you can forget about getting in the water. We were pretty let down as we mostly just planned on hanging out in the water at the property. We did still enjoy the property and have plenty of room for 12 people to move around. It is very deceiving that the owners would not edit their original post for this rental to let people know the river is not an option to get in. Instead, we drove to new braunfels to get in the river and float there.
