We had reserved this home from 11/14/24-1/7/25While the home is beautiful and convenient for us, that is about where it ended. The home was not clean. It was tidy. Microwave was dirty, minimal dishes, utensils, no baking sheets. Only 3 burners worked. What pots and pans there was (4), all had broken handles, one oven bit and one dish towel. No extra linens. no wash cloths, no hand towels, no extra sheets.bed had large urine stains, no mattress covers on any of the beds, fridge did not work, lost several hundred dollars in spoiled food, finally replaced after 1 month of going back and forth with the host thru the homeowner.Spiders were bad, several members of our group had multiple spider bites, one so bad she nearly sought medical care.If you enjoy baths, it will be an ice bath! Master bath only has cold water. Shower was fine.No blankets or throws. only a sheet and very thin comforter on each bed. Shower curtains upstairs smelled horrendous and had multiple stains.Cleaning this home was a joke. Only had a broom and dustpan. No Vacuum, had to buy a swiffer.Had games upstairs all missing pieces including a fooseball table that had no balls.home was in a great area, host was great, but the amount spent for the home vs what we had was very disappointing.

Hi Timothy, thank you for your review. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the location. The homeowner would like to address your concerns:
- Our home is stocked with essential kitchen items, including pots and pans, similar to other vacation rentals. While we typically provide one set of sheets per bed, additional linens are stored in a locked closet and would have been available upon request.
- As soon as we were notified about the spiders, we had the home professionally exterminated within 24 hours. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Thank you again for sharing your experience. Your feedback helps improve future stays.
Enjoyed the house during our business trip

9 members of our family (7 adults, 1 teen and 1 infant) met in San Antonio for a family wedding. The venue was northeast of town at Oak Valley Vineyard so we wanted a house convenient to both the wedding and to the perks and sights of the city. San Antonio is booming, with new construction everywhere. The house is in a gated community which is so new that the GPS in our Prius could not find it, but Google maps on my phone had no problem.
So why "A Tale of Two Houses"?
On a MACRO level the house itself was awesome: Solid new construction. Clean. Spacious. Safe, beautifully-landscaped neighborhood. Reliable WiFi. Big smart TV. Top-notch climate control. Washer and dryer. Nice gas range.
On a MICRO level a number of expected amenities were missing: No hair dryer. No functioning ice maker (and the fridge seemed to be struggling to get cold enough). No iron or ironing board. No corkscrew. No large serving dishes (I left some dollar store platters). No toaster. There is a Keurig Duo (yay!) but the carafe side wasn't usable. Odd lack of side tables (I pulled a chair into the master BR to serve as a bedside table). ONE outside chair. "Game Room" consists of a Monopoly game, checkers, and a Foosball table WITH NO BALL. Nice office space, but we had to buy a power strip to reach the outlet behind the desk. Small oversights, many of which were cited in previous reviews.
Wonderful house! Great stay! No big problems. The owner needs to read reviews and fill a few hospitality gaps.
