We had a nice stay in this remodeled house in San Antonio. They are redoing the neighborhood so don’t be fooled by the neighborhood. The house was spacious with room for our whole family. A quick drive to grocery stores, gas station, the riverwalk, and the Alamo. Great communication and easy check in. I love how they remodeled but kept the charm of an old house and incorporated some local art.

We needed a place to stay while we were at a local event, and this house was a good place to be! There were no issues with neighboring houses, and while there is a train station nearby it largely did not disturb us. There was only one minor issue with the home and that was the amount of flies and gnats that got inside every time we opened the door. Otherwise, this was a pleasant experience and I’d recommend this house again!

The home is spacious with a big yard, the entire yard is fenced in and is perfect for pets. It is located in the Lavaca neighborhood, which is an older neighborhood near Southtown. There are plenty of bars and restaurants with in a mile. My favorite area for the family was Yanaguana Garden at Cesar Chavez Blvd and Alamo, there are several restaurants within a park that has a great playground for kids.
The property is also close to the Riverwalk but not walkable, I would recommend to take an Uber/Lyft or drive and park at the La Quinta Inn at 303 Blum St. They will sell you a day pass for around $20, it is gated and has an attendant.
The host Fred, was also great very attentive and responsive. He messaged just to ensure check in went smoothly.
The property is older and has a lot of charm it has many original fixtures and has finishes to maintain the vintage feel. It is also near train tracks, which you can hear but did not bother me or my family. This was our first trip to San Antonio but we have already found our spot to stay.

The property was on a quiet street in a good location to the River Walk/Downtown area. There were train tracks near, that may be an issue for others, but we didn’t mind it at all. Kitchen and bathrooms were stocked well and we appreciated that. The rental is super cute, but not perfect, it’s an old house (which I adore). It was very spacious and tons of room for guests. The host was available and courteous. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. If you stay for NYE, you can literally sit on the back porch and enjoy the fireworks without the hassle of traffic.
