a coastal dream
5/5 this artistic bungalow is just what your heart needs to get away from the real world and dream by the canal, perfectly remote and quiet and yet 5 min from all the greatest restaurants in Port Isobel. This coastal love nest is one of my favorite vrbos ever and the owners are a delight. Do yourself a massive favor and book this one!!!

Cute and quaint, perfect get-a-way…
5/5 The cottage is well decorated and has everything you need down to the last detail. Only stayed two night but wished we could’ve stayed longer. We will definitely go back soon. The SpaceX shuttle launch a few miles away was a surprise we didn’t expect. It shook the whole cottage like an earthquake at 8am which we knew about the previous night but were not prepared for the power and intensity. Still, even with the spring breakers crossing over to South Padre Island through the week, we were able to find time when traffic was low during the early hours to explore the island. We also ate at Josephine’s and Joe’s Oyster Bar Restaurants nearby on the Port Isabell side, which have amazing food and not expensive at all but get there early to avoid the lines because they get busy. HEB down the street was also convenient as well as a Wal-Mart. The $90 amenities fee is the only expense we didn’t expect but if we had used them it would’ve been worth it. Over all a great rental experience.
