• Decent Getaway Spot…but’s needs some more TLC

  We spent four nights at the rental. We knew what to expect for a river property…this is not the Four Seasons. It’s comfortable and relaxing but needs some love.

  Perks: has most everything you need from dishes, utensils, coffee pot, and several other items. Easy river access to sit in the water. Walking distance to the float house for tube rentals & food.

  Stairs: yes, there are stairs and the listing is very upfront about how accessible they are. Parents with small children there is a baby gate inside on the main level. Outside the stairs need some work…adding additional hand rail would be suggested.

  Deck: this needs some work to get back into better shape. Rotten boards, peeling paint and even boards that are completely loose. This is dangerous no matter how you look at it.

  Fresh linens: were dropped off the day after arrival with no notice. Left on the front porch for us to put up. Not my job to do so but we did bring inside the home.

  Dumpsters: were full until the day before our departure. Had to walk trash down the road to be thrown away. Very inconvenient.

  Outside lights: front porch barely glows. The bulb should be brighter. Deck lights work…well the ones that aren’t missing or broken.

  Cleaning supplies…bring your own. Basic items such as a couple trash bags & paper towels are provided. Be sure to pack bug spray & wasp/hornet spray…just a suggestion.

  Sleeping area is located downstairs with a full bathroom. No way to prevent children from climbing staircase inside. Direct outside access from downstairs to the deck & River.

  Kitchen, Living room & full bathroom upstairs with access to lower level via outside stairs…there is no baby gate here for this with small children.

  Overall we might consider staying here again but would prefer to seem some maintenance take place first.

  Location was as expected.Linens and accommodations - quality of the mattresses and the cleanliness/quality/quantity of linens was undesirable.Toiletries were minimal - a small bar of soap per bathroom; nothing else.One absorbent kitchen towel, one non-absorbent tea-towel. One roll of paper towels. One small dish soap - NO OTHER CLEANING SUPPLIES (nothing to wipe down/sanitize stove top or counters with.)No cleaning supplies in the bathrooms.

• Wonderful as always!

  We have been coming to this rental every April and September for several years now we absolutely love it. The location is perfect, water location is perfect for relaxing in the river. The house is very comfortable and has all you need to relax.

  We really enjoy it here. Every trip we can’t wait to go back!!!

  Location was awesome. Could not ask for a better spot on the river. The water was nice, not too deep, shade and or sun if you wanted it. House, not so much. Was really loud and not ideal for 6 adults and a baby.
