Very functional ..well laid out lake house with lots of beds. Great booking and communication Throughout and after our stay. Boathouse destroyed in a storm which is listed in the description. That’s the only reason for 4 star. There was a small temporary dock built Once the boat house or a bigger dock with better access is built, that would really be awesome, but still we had fun and were able to float in water …just look out for the old pilings underwater. We caught lots of fish off the little dock and appreciated the kayaks, life vests, and floating mat.

The home was not as clean as my other stays with VRBO. Tons of perishable co dimentd were in the fridge, along with 2 shelves of dry goods, and canisters of sugar on the countertop. That would not have been concerning except that coffee was still in the coffee pot. I communicated with the contact and she said she leaves perishables on purpose. The checkout instructions state to dispose of all perishables. You cannot access the water which it dtayes in the description, but a selling point of the property is 2 kayaks.

Hi Rebecca, we want our guests to feel completely comfortable and well-informed during their stay, and we’re sorry if the experience didn’t meet your expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We purposely provide some non-perishables and select perishables like spices, oils, and condiments, as many guests appreciate having these items available. We regularly check and remove anything past its date.
- We’ve reminded our cleaning team to ensure the coffee pot is thoroughly cleaned and emptied between stays, and we appreciate you pointing this out.
- The ladder to access the water was recently damaged by a guest and is being replaced this week to restore easy access for future visitors.
- We’ll continue to fine-tune our listing description and guest information to make sure expectations around amenities and water access are as clear as possible.
Thanks again for your valuable feedback as we continue to improve for future guests!
Fishing took place from the shore. We caught a lot of fish. We had great pleasure from staying on this vacation
