Comfortable, well equipped, nicely decorated

Hi Teresa, we're truly sorry for the last-minute cancellation and completely understand your frustration. The homeowner had to take care of unexpected repairs and understandably didn’t feel it was right to have guests in the home during that time. This is a 116-year-old single-family house that offers a unique experience, but occasionally it does require sudden repairs. Unlike a hotel, it's not possible to move guests to another room when something like this pops up. The good news is the repairs have been taken care of, and we're excited to welcome guests again. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience.
Galveston getaway
5/5 This was our second year in a row at this beautiful and charming cottage. So close to the beach. Easy to walk to wonderful locations. So very clean and maintained. Communication was easy and fast on reply. We will be back again for sure! Don't pass up given the opportunity to stay!

Perfect little hideaway!
5/5 We absolutely loved our stay! This rental was everything we were looking for—cozy, quiet, and tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the Strand, yet still close enough to the beach that we could ride our scooters over with ease. The home was super cute, thoughtfully decorated, and fully stocked with everything we could possibly need. We also felt very safe, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
The only minor issue we encountered was that the upstairs stayed a bit warmer than expected, but it wasn’t a problem for my daughter. We also noticed a flea issue, which we’ve made the owners aware of, and we’re confident they’ll address it quickly.
Overall, we had a fantastic experience and would absolutely stay here again! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

5/5 Beautiful home. A lot of character in this charming home. Well equiped. Near beaches, restaurants nearby, nice neighborhood. Love the private back yard and huge porch. We have a great time staying here!
