• Questionable communication and lack of accommodations

  Property was listed to accommodate 10 people; however, the property lacked sheets, blankets, or pillows to accommodate more than 6 people. Trash and food was found under two of the beds when we first got there. Our party ended up having to use bathroom towels as sheets for the first night before we went out and purchased linens and pillows for the remainder of our stay.

  Owner was not available via phone or email, and messages on VRBO app were not responded to directly. The property seems to be managed by a third party company and their “customer support” replied to any questions sent over the VRBO app via a separate email. They did not provide any resolution and continued to suggest reaching out to the non-responsive owner via phone. Questions about the check-in process went unanswered, but was straightforward and simple.

  Kitchen, living space, and pool are as advertised. Good neighborhood. If you have a large group for more than a few days be prepared to bring extra pots/pans, cups, plates, paper towels, toilet paper and bath towels. We went through a couple loads of laundry and dishwashing cycles during our stay due to inadequate amounts of these items.

  - We have also restocked the mentioned items as well as dishes, plates, and mugs, to better meet the needs of larger groups

• We wanted to love this place

  Went to Texas to visit our son. We booked this VRBO thinking it would be the perfect fit for our larger family. It is further out of town than anticipated. Booking and check in was great and well communicated. We were greeted with over-grown shrubs, literally blocking the entrance to the front door. (including bees in them) and the air conditioning not working. It was literally 100 degrees outside (July), so we were all looking forward to getting inside to AC. We called an owner, who told us to call the other. Couldn't reach him, so we called the other one back. They did apologize and sent someone to fix it the next day (slept in the heat). The main bathtub/shower was plugged with inches of standing water, so we couldn't use that shower. We then had 10 of us trying to funnel through ONE shower with broken handle. Not handy, esp when we intentionally book VRBO homes to have multiple bathrooms for this very reason. A plumber eventually came to fix that, but we had inconvenience and crazy in the meantime. There weren't sheets/bedding available for the pull-out beds (which we needed) until calling the owner who gave us the code to the linen closet. The dishes/utensils are NOT stocked for 10 people and most things in the cupboards were comically dirty. Carpet needed to be vacuumed. Wasps by grill, which didn't work (it tripped the breaker). Downstairs bathroom/laundry/dining area smelled of sewer. Smoke detector was hanging from ceiling and beeping. Microwave had no display. :(

  Hi Robyn, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and after sending your feedback to the homeowner, they’d like to share the following:
  
  - The A/C issue was addressed promptly, and a technician was sent out within 24 hours. We regret you had to spend the first night in the heat
  - The bathtub/shower was clogged, and a plumber was dispatched quickly to resolve the issue. We understand the inconvenience this caused with multiple guests needing to share one shower
  - Additional sheets and bedding were provided after you contacted the owner. The bedding has since been restocked
  - We apologize for the overgrown shrubs blocking the entrance and the presence of bees. The shrubs were trimmed the next day
  - We will ensure to address the concerns regarding the carpets, cupboards, microwave, and smoke detector
  - We are relocating the grill and upgrading the breaker to prevent future issues
  - The downstairs bathroom/laundry/dining area has been inspected for any sewer smells, and we have not found any issues reported by subsequent guests

• Great place to stay with family

  We rented it to visit family in Austin.

  It was very clean and comfortable.

  The kitchen is nice, but if you are going to do a lot of cooking be sure and bring your own spices and condiments.

• Good place for a family to stay

  We rented it to use while visiting family in Austin.

  It was very spacious and comfortable. The back yard was wonderful to hang out in.

  (It was cloudy and rainy, so we did not get to use the pool.)

  The kitchen was nice but if you are going to do a lot of cooking, be sure and bring your own spices and condiments.

• Very spacious home

  The owner of home was also available if needed via telephone. The children enjoyed the pool. It was more than enough room & definitely was our home for 4 days.
