  We had a very nice stay at this cabin. It was comfortable and had just about everything we needed for our 5-day stay. The Internet was a little spotty, but we were prepared for that - it really only effected us one day. Since it was so hot during our stay, we ended up spending a lot of time in the wonderfully cool cabin after we spent every morning baking in the sun doing vacation activities. I am really glad we picked such a comfortable place to stay.

  It was super fun to sleep in the loft area of the cabin. There was a full moon during our stay and it was really neat to fall asleep looking at the moon through the trees. We even saw a really cute bat hanging on the eve outside the window!

  There are some great, off-the-beaten-path places to eat (including a fantastic coffee shop) not too far away. The local grocery store, gas station, and dollar store are all reasonably close too.

  The drive up to the cabin might be off-putting for those who did not grow up in the mountains, but we didn't have any issues.

  There was a very minor issue during our stay, but our concerns were addressed sufficiently.

  So, all in all, we really liked our stay. If we come back to the area, we will consider staying here again.

• Worst experience ever!! Cockroaches and leaks!

  — We only stayed two nights.. first night while someone was showering upstairs, it began leaking from about 8 spots in the downstairs room.. pretty significantly.

  — THEN my husband went to make coffee the next morning and there was a COCKROACH where you put the K-Cup! We hadn’t even gotten any food out.. then that evening, there were cockroaches of all sizes and ages just running across the counters, in the silverware, and all in the sink like they owned the place.. I have numerous videos of the roaches, as well as the leak.

  — The fan in the main bedroom sounded like someone was taking an axe to the wall.. so we couldn’t use that either.

  — there was insulation coming up out of the kitchen vent.. which led me to believe there was an animal tearing up the duct work.

  — internet wasn’t good enough to stream anything other than “live TV” and I couldn’t carry a phone call (iPhones) without it cutting out the whole time.

  — the front and back doors both appeared as though someone had broken in to them.. front only shut/locked with the deadbolt and back, the door frame was cracked/split.

  — I’m never the kind of person to complain.. but this cabin was a terrible experience. We ended up throwing away all the groceries we bought and were forced to eat out for every meal.. which we did not want to do.. especially since everything was 30 minutes away.

Our host did reach out to offer cleaning and Pest Control Services, as well as to address the ceiling fan and bathroom leak, but we understand you preferred not to have these issues addressed during your stay.
  - We recognize the inconvenience this caused and are truly sorry for the negative experience. Please know that Pest Control has conducted their regular services, the ceiling fan has been fixed, and no bathroom leak was detected after inspection.
  - Regarding the internet connection, we acknowledge the ongoing challenges in the area and appreciate your understanding as service providers work to resolve these issues.
  - We deeply regret that you had to throw away your groceries and dine out unexpectedly. Your feedback is invaluable, and we are committed to making necessary improvements to ensure a better experience for our future guests. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

  The cabin experience was the highlight of our trip. We'll definitely be back. Beautiful views and the cabin was clean and cozy, yet large enough for the entire family to have their own space. Just make sure you have good tires on your vehicle. The road up is steep!
