• Refreshing stay at mountain retreat…

  The cabin was set in a very relaxing area with mixed terrain for lovely walks. A fire pit on the property made a perfect place to make memories any time of the day or night. Lots of woods was hospitably provided by the host so we didn’t have to bring any with us. Neighborhood was very friendly as well!!

  Having had a wonderful stay previously in a different cabin in Sevierville, I guess my expectations were set high. This cabin is beautiful but not well kept, not properly stocked and dirty. Both balconies were filthy with cobwebs, spider webs and dirt. I had to clean the lower one myself before spending any time out there. My daughter in law said she had to clean upstairs areas first before using. The cushions outside on the balcony were filthy .The fire pit area was uninviting to say the least. Dirty drawers in kitchen and bedrooms. The kitchen had nothing- no coffee, no tea, no condiments, no paper products but one roll of paper towels. One kitchen towel, one wash cloth. Half of the light bulbs in the house (literally half) were burnt out. One kitchen can garbage bag left for us. I had to buy more. One bathroom hand towel in each bathroom (there were 5 of us) to share. Here’s my take- we are up on a mountain, 15 minutes and a tricky drive to the nearest store. You are renting your house for a week to out of towners that might be flying in from out of state. This kitchen should be stocked with coffee, tea, sugar, condiments, paper products, spices etc for your guests. We are paying a hefty cleaning fee and expect a clean space. We saw cobwebs inside, a scorpion stuck in a web, dirt under the throw rug when we pushed it back for the baby in a walker. The list goes on. This place has a lot of potential, but the owners need to care about it to present it that way to its renters.

  Owner's response: "Stacey, We have a long history of great reviews and guests who have enjoyed our cabin, and we're sorry if this was not the right place for you. There are a lot of cabins in this area and we are all a little different in what we provide for our guests.
  
  - We take good care of the cabin and make the necessary repairs when needed, but it is well-kept and we stay on top of all the maintenance.
  - Our cleaners have made some changes in management and we are working with them to ensure they have a list of everything that is needed to be done in between each booking. We have shared your feedback but please remember we are a cabin in the woods and the patio will get dusty and dirty because of nature. We can't control the breeze or little bugs like spiders you can clean and hours later a web will appear. We apologize for this inconvenience.
  - When you let us know about the bulbs being out we came by the next morning and provided the replacement bulbs for you. We also brought over more trash bags and kitchen towels.
  - We provide our guests with the basics in the kitchen there are coffee filters, salt, pepper, and some spices. We don't provide a lot because some people complain that it's there and should be thrown away. The cleaners clean out the refrigerator after every guest leaves.
  
  We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays! We will continue to deliver the 5-star experiences we know we can deliver."

• Basic Cabin

  This cabin meets all the basic needs. If you are looking for something extra, this cabin is not going to fit the bill. If you have anyone sleeping in the loft area, be ready to hear EVERYTHING going on up there from the downstairs bedroom (so if you have small kids, this is great). One suggestion, bring your own pillows, the ones at the cabin are not great. All in all, it was fairly clean, the cabin is solid (it could use some appliance updates) and was some place to sleep between adventures.

  - The loft area is an open space, which can result in some sound traveling between floors. We're sorry if this put a damper on your stay
  - While we try to offer a range of pillows to suit different preferences, we understand that comfort can be subjective. We encourage the suggestion to bring your own pillows when traveling, whenever possible

  Dish washer and laundry dryer were broken, if the appliances are part of the services they offer they should work properly or give a discount.

• Cabin is nice.

  The dishwasher was broken, the dryer’s door was broken I did wash my clothes and is when I found out that dryer was broken. We ended up bringing our clothes wet in plastic bags and dry them when we arrive to my house

  Why if they offer appliances they do not make sure they work?
