My favorite place to be is in nature.
My family of 6 had the most memorable experience and it was amazing time. The host was always responsive and she even text to send local suggestions.
The Mountain View’s can’t be be beat. Be sure and bring your groceries because you wont want to leave once you arrive. It’s so relaxing and exceeded our expectations. We booked again for our spring trip.
I would stay here again. The roads are steep but we were prepared for this. My family of 6 had plenty of room and we all had a great time.
Clean, homey, comfortable.

Gorgeous views, plenty of space, very responsive owner. Beware, the driveway is extremely steep, but once parked at the top, there are only a few steps to get in. The house is pretty well stocked with what you need, and minimal clean up required which is really nice.

When I arrived to the home, the beds were unmade and dirty towels were on the bathroom floors and used rags were in the showers. We were moved to a bigger home, thankfully, however we encountered WiFi outages for majority of our stay to the point where my toddler aged kids had to go an entire day and fall asleep with no television. The house had many rules and extra fees, such as a water use limit (or pay a $300 fee) and a fee for trash pickup during the stay. The owner controls the a/c temp so if you’re too cold or too hot in the middle of the night, oh well because they’re likely asleep. The roads and driveway are nerve wrecking as it looks like they’re supposed to be for one lane only and they’re used as two up the entire mountain. DO NOT STAY OUT LATE because they aren’t any lights on the road to help you see your way back up. The bears weren’t a huge issue for me, just be aware that they do walk around freely. One walked right up our driveway.
Hi Asia, we want our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we apologize you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We regret to hear about your experience and appreciate your feedback. Upon your arrival, we promptly upgraded you to our larger cabin to accommodate your needs. It's unfortunate that you encountered WiFi issues during your stay due to the storms, and although this was due to circumstances outside of our control, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, especially for your children.
- Regarding our policies, we aim to be transparent about additional fees and guidelines to ensure a comfortable stay for all guests. We regret any confusion and appreciate your understanding of these measures.
- Regarding temperature control, we do manage it centrally to maintain energy efficiency and comfort for all guests; however, we apologize if this impacted your experience.
- Our location in the mountains offers a serene retreat, but we understand navigating the roads can be challenging at times, especially at night. We provide detailed information about road conditions and local wildlife to help guests prepare for their stay. Encounters with wildlife, such as bears, are part of the natural surroundings, and we provide guidance on how to safely coexist with them.
- We sincerely value your feedback and strive to improve based on guest experiences. We hope you can reconsider and give us another opportunity to provide you with a better stay in the future.
Thanks for your valuable feedback as we continue to improve for future guests!
