  I was looking forward to Vrbo. My family spends a lot of time in South Dakota for small vacations. We’ve always stayed in hotels. My family owns businesses. 2 motels and a body shop. So cleanliness matters. Under the bed downstairs was trash. The pictures on Vrbo look great. However the house is a bit dated. We only used 1 bedroom and the living room as my kid didn’t want to be on a floor alone. No issues. The pull out couch had trash in it including socks that didn’t belong to us. The bed was lumpy and seemed broke. The spa had dirt in the bottom. I had 2 doodles I checked in. They left a tree saw laying in the yard. Big problem if someone stepped on it. Old dog poop right by the garage entrance. The paint peeling from the spa deck. Kitchen sink has been updated since they posted pictures on Vrbo so that was nice. The bathroom was clean. Upstairs just looking around a drawer was broke on the kids dresser. They had the side of the house not posted in the pictures dug up. So it was just dirt with hoses out it looks like for sprinklers. So it’s not a closed in back yard. Easy to get muddy just walking to the front door. Everything was functional so I didn’t want to complain. As we planned to spend more time doing activities then at the property. Overall I was disappointed for my dogs and kid. Plenty of parking but we couldn’t get the car in the garage. To much “stuff” in it. Easy check in and check out. When we messaged we checked out they seemed friendly.

  I booked this VRBO for my now-husband and his groomsmen to stay in over our wedding weekend, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! From the moment we arrived, everything was exactly as described—clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. The house had plenty of room for all the guys to relax, get ready, and enjoy some time together before the big day.

  The location was ideal—close enough to our venue and local attractions, but tucked away just enough to feel private and peaceful. The amenities were top-notch, and the host had thought of everything. Whether it was the well-stocked kitchen, the comfortable beds,

• Disappointing stay

  We were excited for our stay, but unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. Upon arrival, we immediately noticed that the house wasn’t as clean as it should have been. Dust was visible on the floorboards and decor, and the entire place had a dusty smell. The sheets didn’t feel fresh, which made us question the cleanliness of the entire property.Additionally, there weren’t enough towels for both the hot tub and showers, which was inconvenient. Speaking of the hot tub, it wasn’t warm when we arrived, and while it eventually warmed up, it wasn’t quite as relaxing as we’d hoped.The backyard in the listing photos looked inviting, but in reality, it didn’t match what we saw in person. The house itself also felt smaller than it appeared in the pictures, and the upstairs steps were concerning—they felt soft and unstable, almost as if they were rotating underfoot.Overall, while the house had potential, the lack of cleanliness, misleading photos, and maintenance issues made our stay less enjoyable than we had hoped.

  There was no response from the contact person. I called and texted the number provided. Still nobody has returned calls or responded to messages. The snow was a factor and nobody came to shovel nor was there a shovel there. Disappointed as I paid a service fee but they wanted us to clean up. All in all we will not recommend it.

  - We were surprised to hear about the communication issue, as we didn’t receive any missed calls or messages and confirmed the contact number is working correctly.
  - A snow shovel is stored on the porch for guest use, and we’ll double-check that it’s visible and easy to find moving forward.
  - The checkout instructions ask guests to leave the home as they found it, while the cleaning team handles all standard turnover tasks like floors, bathrooms, and linens. That said, we’ll review the instructions to make sure expectations are as clear as possible.

  Choose this house as it was close to where we were working. Great location, east to navigate. Very Clean.
