A decent stay in Lead, but not in winter
3/5 We came to Lead for a short ski trip, and wanted to find pet friendly lodging. This seemed to fit the bill. Little did we know we would come during a cold snap. The proprietor anticipated our needs well, with space heaters in every room, in addition to the built-in heaters. I can't imagine the poor guy made any profit from thiss gig, running all those space heaters, it was that cold. The place was well-appointed,although the kitchen cupboards were way too high for a shorty like me to use.The cool part about this place are the local deer who browse and bed down in the sunny part of the yard. The dog enjoyed watching for them . Just, FYI, the front yard is very steep for old dogs, but we found a level spot on the left side of the house for him. Terry Peak was a nice small place to ski, but again, very cold . We found Sanford Lab quite by accident , and were very impressed by the visitor center.. We did not visit any restaurants, but stayed in to cook our meals The TV was entirely adequate and there were games to play as well. Bottom line is, this is an old house, and the owner has done a lot to to make it comfy, but don't come in February. house

Great stay, come prepared with personal dish washing supplies and handsoap
3/5 Everything was pretty good overall, was unfortunate that we had to supply our own dish sponges and dishwashing pods/gel and they didnt have any handsoap otherwise i really enjoyed it for the price!
