  It was a great place. Loved the serenity and location. Bbq grill was in pretty rough shape, so we didn’t use it. Slow sink drain on main bath. A few other minor things but overall, all of us enjoyed it. Thank you!

  The home's setting is beautiful, but the home itself, needs a lot of attention. Here were the areas of concern:1) Microwave oven didn't work2) Sliding screen doors off their tracks and laying on the deck3) Closet folding doors off their track and leaning against the wall4) Upstairs handheld showerhead mount is broken and the handheld shower falls off while showering 5) Upstairs shower drain stopped up and takes a long time to drain6) Hot Tub was filthy, green water, and needed draining and refilled7) Wet towels and sheets were in the washer when we arrived8) Outside outlets didn't work 9) Outside deck railing broken and potentially dangerous10) Trash found underneath the beds11) One of the other bathroom faucets continually leaked (we fixed that ourself)12) Bedroom Comforter was held together with safety pins13) BBQ grill didn't work.We emailed the property's contact person with our concerns. We had emailed eachother earlier about an early arrival, and he responded, so I know he received our email itemizing our concerns. I never received a response. However, someone did stop by to drain and refill the hot tub. None of the other concerns were addressed. We love VRBO, and I'm confident other homeowners liked how we treated their properties. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this property to anyone.

  The right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  - We approved your early check-in and followed up after your arrival to make sure everything was in order. After receiving your concerns, we sent multiple follow-up emails offering to send a cleaner, plumber, and repair technician, but we didn’t hear back and assumed you were comfortable.
  - The hot tub is cleaned and serviced after every guest stay, and we confirmed it was cleaned before your arrival. That said, we followed up with our cleaning team to ensure no future guests encounter the same issue.
  - The sliding screen door can come off track easily if not moved carefully—we’ll keep an eye on this. The basement closet door, which isn’t needed, was intentionally leaned against the furnace and will be removed.
  - We’re reviewing each of the items you mentioned and are working with our local team to make sure everything is addressed for future guests.
  We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

  A quaint cabin that is quiet and comfortable. It is a little far away from Deadwood and activities there.
