• Abrupt Eviction & Misleading Amenities

  I booked this condo believing my psychiatric service dog was welcome, since both Evolve and VRBO assured me when I called to confirm. I depended on renting a golf cart for my 78-year-old mother so she could have some independence, yet I discovered the owner forbids rentals when the golf cart company called to say the owner wouldn’t allow it—a policy not disclosed in the listing. After I raised this concern the owner responded with "the beach is close enough" shortly after I received a call from Evolve, suddenly given one hour to address a “dog problem,” despite legal protections and prior assurances from Evolve and VRBO, which felt retaliatory for suggesting she disclose her golf cart restriction for future guests. Security arrived within that hour to evict us at night. I reiterated that my dog was a service animal but was told the owner didn’t care, forcing me, my children, and my mother to pack hurriedly and leave our groceries behind. Although we received a partial refund for unused nights, it didn’t offset the stress or cost of relocating on short notice. Compounding the discomfort, the owner appeared to be monitoring us through a Ring doorbell and in person, I recognized her from a photo displayed in the condo’s materials.Moreover, the listing claimed there was a grill “on the porch,” it was not, another issue for anyone with mobility challenges. My suggestions to clarify these misleading details were dismissed. Location is beautiful, the experience not so much.

  - We were unaware of any service dog prior to your arrival, as neither Evolve nor Vrbo informed us. Security was notified by a neighbor about a pet on the property, and when they inquired, you confirmed there was a dog and that you were planning to leave that night.
  - Our listing does not advertise a rental golf cart or a grill on the porch. Due to liability concerns, we do not permit golf cart rentals, and grills are not allowed on the building per local regulations. However, a charcoal grill is located nearby for guest use.
  - We did not monitor your stay. The Ring doorbell is a non-functional remnant from the previous owner, and while we own multiple condos in the area, any sightings of us were purely coincidental.
  We appreciate your feedback and will review the listing to ensure policies are as clear as possible for future guests.

• Excellent location, great condo

  Very newly renovated unit with excellent access to the beach and pool, corner unit right by the boardwalk. We loved the easy access to the beach! Unit was very clean, all new furnishings and comfortable bed. Excellent unit for 2 adults, or two adults with younger children with the additional bunk beds. Washer and dryer were excellent, very fast and efficient.

• Clean and updated

  We have been to Harbor Island numerous times, each time staying in a different condo. This condo, D101, was the best stay that we have ever had. Everything is updated very nicely and all new. We loved the bunk beds for the children. We loved that you could move the ladder off the bed to the opposite wall so we did not have to worry about a child climbing up there unsupervised. The bathrooms and the whole condo were squeaky clean. The main bedroom was much larger than other units we stayed in, I think it has to do with the built in dresser area. More than enough space for a pack and play for a baby.

  The Hunting Island pass was a nice addition as well.

  The kitchen had all of the basics that you need including coffee k-cups, trash bags, cleaners, dishwasher detergent, spices, and laundry detergent.

  With it being the end unit, it was right next to the boardwalk to the beach. It allowed for such easy access and views of the ocean. It also has the nice side window which allowed such great light in the space.

  We loved our stay and hope to be back soon to this exact unit.

  The property was exactly what we expected. The access to the beach was exceptional. The community offered everything you could want during a relaxing vacation away and the nearby local restaurants were delicious.
