• Epic Clemson/Lake Weekend

  This is our second time renting at the Battery. Beautiful property, fire pit and dock set up. Home nicely and comfortably furnished. Beds very comfortable only exception bunks not too appropriate for adults. (Bottom one a bunkie type mattress) I felt the cleaning person could have prepared for our visit more efficiently. We had no propane, not enough linens and a few other glitches. Owner was wonderful at rectifying. We would definitely tent this home again.

• Great Experience Even in a Hurricane

  The house was beautiful and so was the development. Unfortunately, hurricane Helene blew through and the house lost power so we needed to depart early. The owner was incredibly understanding and refunded the unused days of our stay. This gesture was greatly appreciated and speaks volumes about the owners commitment to their guests. I would DEFINATELY rent this property again, hopefully with better weather.

  Adorable property just as advertised! Everything we needed including extra blankets and pillows, toiletries in showers and clear and easy instructions. Five stars!

• Okay for a short weekend

  Nice location. It was a short weekend stay, so we did not get time to enjoy the lake, but having stayed in this same neighborhood, it's a great location and nice dock to enjoy the outdoors. The cleanliness was lacking and limited, random towels in closets. Had we stayed longer than two days or had more than 4 guests, we would not have had enough towels or would have been laundering more. There were no dish towels or dish rags and we cooked in. So cleaning and washing larger dishes required using bathroom hand towels. We were unable to grill out. Propane tank was low, but grill ignitor did not work and we could not locate any lighter to attempt to light the grill.

• Nice place; lackluster cleaning

  I am a rental homeowner myself, so there are small things that are annoying When you rent a place and I have taken those things into consideration and stocking my rental. This house was very nice and the location was very good as well. It suited our family very well. It would be nice if the homeowner would consider changing out the mattresses. These mattresses have long since been worn out and a back breaking night does not make for a good next day. It was advertised that the garage was for parking. However, the garage was full of stuff and you could not park in the garage. I had a question for property management before the trip, but that was never answered. Obviously, it wasn’t something big, but it would’ve been nice to have gotten an answer to my question. We couldn’t use the grill. It was incredibly dirty, and all of the propane bottles were empty. And lastly, regarding the cleanliness of the house. The house was fairly clean, but very much thrown together by the cleaning staff. We had to search closets for towels and, the towels which weren’t very many were just thrown into a closet and you did wonder if they had been laundered because they weren’t folded. They appeared to be laundered but not the presentation that I would expect. Also, the homeowner should invest in drinking glasses. We had a nice trip, but the cleaning folks are definitely not helping the homeowner present well.
