I immediately had to sweep, use Clorox wipes to clean the refrigerator and under the microwave. It was filthy, the coffee maker filter had green mold. There were black hairs everywhere. The keypad was very touchy, we had a hard time getting in the room in the heat because of it. Overall it was a nice room. Had lots of pools, the water pressure wasn’t so good at the water hoses to wash the sand off. If the housekeeping was better, I would have given a better review.

The bathroom soap dispenser had a strand of hair wrapped around the cap. The floor was covered with sand & no broom in sight. There were sippy cups with straws that were chewed up & plates that weren’t thoroughly washed. The plates smelled of maple syrup. In the bathroom were 3 used nail files. The beds were cots. Thin mattresses on metal frames. The only closet to hang clothes was very small & was shared by an ironing board & a smelly vacuum cleaner. The TV remote was a challenge to operate. The TV listing was on a paper that was dingy, torn & touched by many hands. The bathroom sink stopper is missing. The toaster is archaic. There is paint peeling on the closet door knob. The A/C stopped working. The filter was hanging on an angle & was soaking wet. The thermostat was not working. The inside part of the A/C closet door was thick with dust. We called the owner who contacted the A/C repairman. We were going to try to withstand the heat until he could fix the A/C. The owner told us we did not need to oversee the repair. She would give him the lockbox code. We went golfing. He came & went. She didn’t give him the code. Later He returned to discover batteries in the thermostat which block the signal to the hard wired A/C unit. The motor was frozen&needed replaced which couldn’t happen till Monday-our last day. We bought a fan&lived with the sliding door open. The humidity was unbearable. We found a larger, less expensive unit & moved.

Hi Nancy, we want our guests to arrive at a clean, comfortable space that’s fully ready for their stay, and we’re sorry to hear this wasn’t your experience. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We were disappointed to learn the A/C failed during your stay. The unit is only a few years old and did not require a full motor replacement, but we understand how disruptive this was. We coordinated with the repair technician as quickly as possible once the issue was identified.
- We do not use cots in the home; the beds have standard 6- and 8-inch mattresses, and the fold-out ottoman is intended to offer an additional sleeping option for guests traveling with children.
- We’re reviewing and refreshing items like the TV listing sheet, toaster, and kitchenware to ensure they’re in good condition and meet guest expectations.
- We’ve also reminded our cleaning team to be extra thorough with closets, bathroom supplies, and hard-to-reach areas to avoid any oversights moving forward.
Thanks for your feedback—we’re always working to improve and hope future guests have a more comfortable experience.
This location was directly on the beach which made for easy access. Lots of parking acaable and plenty for you to do if tou arent spending the day in the sand. Would highly reccomend!

The unit had everything we needed to make our stay complete. It was big enough for two people. We felt secure there. The pools were nice as was the restaurant on the premises. We would stay there again but not on the 18th floor. We would be happier a little closer to the ground.
