  Upon arrival building was old & outdated, Elevator smelled, walking to room our door was covered in Black Mold. Manager said it was mildew, it’s not. It’s Black Mold. I have lived at the beach. We managed to stay one night and only went to room to sleep. Mold got my husband’s allergies acting up bad. Mold was also in AC air vent. Room was very dated. Small pool was dirty, the bigger pools and lazy river like listing mentioned were 3 condos at Ocean Reef, add didn’t even mention that. Room smelled like it was cleaned with bleach but definitely wasn’t clean to our liking, room felt so humid. Contacted management to see about getting a partial refund and she said owner will not do a refund, asked for contact of owner and she stated I needed to go thru her. Very short with me and helped none. Do not recommend and will not come back. Like I said room was very outdated, not clean, black mold and listing was not accurate- Pools were 3 condos down. 1 pool at hotel was tiny and dirty! Will not return!

• Linens not washed between guests

  Our stay was less than acceptable. Upon checking in, I found the sheets for the couch bed and they had stains on them. When I texted Teresa, the property manager, she said they were permanent stains and that the sheets had been sitting in a drawer for a while and that she knew they hadn’t been used because they were “folded like s***.” She brought up some other sheets and I told her I also fold like s*** and that it’s not a good measure to see if a sheet has been used.

  I then showed her some concerning areas on the corners of the bed that looked like stains from bed bugs. She said the mattress protector is “bed but resistant” but she also said the cover hadn’t been taken off and washed because she can’t take it off herself and put it back on without some help and that the owner refuses to pay for another person to help.

  The next morning my son knocked the sheet off the corner of the main bed on his way to answer the door. I noticed a large stain and pulled the entire sheet off and was disgusted at what I saw. HUGE stains all over the bed that looked like pee / blood. It clearly had not been washed after accidents etc. I texted Teresa about this and she stated they were “permanent stains” and they “spray bleach on the protector” between guests vs washing it. I don’t think they’re spraying bleach on it but even if they were, that sounds hazardous as well for people like my asthmatic son.

  I then saw the coffee pot looked like it had not been washed in ages. It was covered in dust and had visible dried coffee inside. The stove was also filthy. It had caked grease on the burners and melted cheese and even a dried watermelon or cucumber seed.

  The entire stay felt gross, and I am appalled we had to sleep somewhere UNCLEAN. So not only did she admit to not washing the bedding for the couch bed prior to our arrival and simply went off the assumption it hadn’t been used, but she admitted she doesn’t wash the protector because she can’t get it off and put it back on. I have little dogs who have accidents sometimes on my kids bed and they have failed to tell me, but everything still washes out even a week later! I bet if I’d put the protector in the wash that the stains would have come out.

  A partial refund was refused. I encourage everyone to check under the sheet when you stay here.
