  We arrived 8/18/25 and found the condo in poor condition and not very clean.

  Broken tiles, mold on shower doors, soap/shampoo dispenser half falling down in shower, black mold around 2 A/C vents, filthy balcony door, pealing paint, fronts of appliances and mirrors dirty, wires hanging around TV, beat up dining and coffee table, dirty balcony and dirty beat up small table, AND AN EXTREMELY OVERPOWERING SMELL from an old style air freshener (maybe Airwick solid). What was being covered up with the horrible smelling air freshener?

  We were there to celebrate our 27th anniversary and my wife was in tears regarding the condition of the property and said she just couldn’t stay there and feel unclean.

  We searched the area for a new place to stay and booked it. We left the condo on 8/18/25 as we found it within a few hours of our original arrival.

  I contacted the owner to let her know we had left and we expected a FULL REFUND. She said that she would contact Evolve and see what they can do.

  I engaged in conversation with Evolve and provided the complaint information and photos that I sent to the owner. They said that they would review and get back to me.

  Late on 8/21/25, Evolve said they would be refunding me with an amount that was around 30% of what I originally paid. The money was credited on 8/22/25, but 70% shy of purchase price.

  I’m glad that Evolve worked quickly, but extremely disappointed at the refund amount when we never used the property. Evolve should reexamine and consider refunding the full amount.

  I would never recommend using this property unless it was properly repaired and taken care of more thoroughly.

  "We always want our guests to feel comfortable and well taken care of. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
  - The condo was clean and in good order upon arrival, and the review’s description exaggerates the condition of the property.
  - There was no mold in the shower, and no strong freshener was used to hide odors. These claims are inaccurate.
  - The mildew spots that appeared around vents were caused by a prior guest leaving the sliding door open, which let in coastal air. While not harmful, they were treated immediately.
  - All concerns- big or small- have since been addressed, and the homeowner takes pride in providing a welcoming space that has earned many 5-star reviews and returning guests."

  Jeannie is awesome. From the time we booked thru to when we left, she was great. Jeannie is the perfect host; responsive and checked to make sure we had everything we needed. The condo was well stocked, perfect view and great location. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again.

  This property is located in an excellent location on Hilton Head Island. Beachfront property overlooking the pool area with easy access to the dunes. The property is easily walk-able to a full service grocery and many restaurants and shops. Easy access to main roads.

  The unit is a one bedroom unit and has all that one could want during your stay. The kitchen was great to have as we cooked many meals. Even better is a washer and dryer at your disposal. The kitchen is stocked with many staples you many need. Laundry soap was provided during our visit.

  Although the building is not the fanciest or newest on the island it was more than enough for our needs and great value for your money.

  It is in a great location that is convenient to the beach, restaurants, and grocery store. We didn't have to get in the car to drive any where. We were also able to take advantage of the washer/dryer as we were traveling for several more weeks.
