We stayed in town for a destination wedding with our two pups. There was a decent sized storm that caused some flooding in the area ahead of our stay. Amy kept a us informed and made sure the property was prepared for us. We enjoyed our stay, had a beautiful view to the water behind the property. Very convenient but away from all the traffic.

This was a perfect location since we took our boat and kept it at Safe Harbor Marina about a mile up the road. The house is very comfortable and the AC works great! The pool table was a hit! The kitchen is well stocked but Benny’s is right next door, which is a fabulous restaurant. You can’t access Skull Creek behind the house, but the sunsets are amazing. If you’re particular about toilet paper and paper towels, take your own 😉

Was down for work for the week and the house was less than 2 miles from the site. Very home feel to it and very roomy.

I could go on and on but not going to. I’ll point out the biggest things.
1. Terribly moldy/musty smell
2. Dishwasher had green throughout entire bottom filter….didn’t clean the dishes and heating element did not work
3. When it rained the area going into the extra room leaked from the ceiling…had to put a towel down
4. Whenever we showered hole in the backyard off of the deck filled and smelled of gray water (sewer).
5. Very noisy and busy street with very fast moving traffic
6. Not much for cleaning supplies. Especially an adequate vacuum
7. Could have been much much cleaner
8. Couch in the room with all the windows had a smell of some kind to it.
9. No ceiling fan in master and it has controlled thermostat so it was always warm when trying to sleep. Couldn’t open up any windows to cool it down because none of the windows had screens do hugs would get in.
Needless to say we will lot be seeking out this property again. I especially wouldn’t rent if I had little ones or smaller children in general.

We always appreciate hearing from our guests Daniel, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or discomfort you experienced during your stay. We strive to provide a comfortable and enjoyable experience for all our guests, and it's disheartening to hear that we fell short of your expectations. We understand your concerns and would like to address each point you've raised:
-We acknowledge that our property is situated in a unique environment near the river/marsh, which can sometimes lead to these odors. We regularly run an OZONE machine between guests to mitigate this issue as much as possible.
-We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the dishwasher. This is the first we're hearing of this problem, but we would have been more than willing to address the issue immediately had we been informed during your stay.
-We regret that you experienced a leak during your stay. While we had addressed this issue prior to your arrival, severe storms may have caused a recurrence. We would have sent roofers to remedy the situation promptly if we had been notified.
-We understand that the smell of gray water can be unpleasant. Unfortunately, being on a septic system in a rainy environment can sometimes lead to these issues.
-We do include a map on our listing so that guests can see the approximate location of the home prior to booking, but we appreciate your feedback regarding the noise from the nearby street. While this is out of our control we will explore ways to better communicate this aspect of our property in our listing to manage expectations.
-While the majority of our guests stay for shorter periods and may not need an extensive array of cleaning supplies, we believe we offer a generous selection compared to many other properties. Our provided amenities include sponges, cleaning rags, various cleaning sprays, extra paper towels, trash bags, laundry soaps, dish soap tabs, dish brushes, and more.
-We take cleanliness very seriously, and we're disappointed to hear that you found the property lacking in this regard. Our cleaning staff works diligently to ensure that the property is thoroughly cleaned and prepared for each guest.
-We appreciate your feedback on the absence of a ceiling fan in the master bedroom. While this feature is not currently available, we will consider your suggestion for future improvements. Additionally, we want to ensure future guests understand that they have full control over setting the thermostat to their comfort level.
As showcased by numerous positive reviews, we are dedicated to delivering five-star experiences. Our commitment to offering a clean and comfortable environment for our guests remains a top priority, and we will persist in our efforts to ensure an exceptional stay for all those who choose our accommodations.
We booked this home for my son's graduation from boot camp. We had 9 family members with us and there was room for everyone. Amy was extremely helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had. We grilled on the deck and there were stores within minutes from the home. We didn't spend a lot of time at the house, but the time we did was comfortable. The beds and showers were great and the home was spacious.
Amy had it stocked with snacks and even coffee, tea, and creamer when we arrived, which was very thoughtful.
For other families considering this home for graduation: allow plenty of drive time to get to base. It's approx. 45 minutes-1 hr drive, and the drive isn't bad, but at certain times traffic can be heavy. We left about 4:30am for the Moto Run, and 6am for graduation. Security check line on base is long, be prepared. But you only have to go through that twice.
