• Ya get what you pay for

  My husband and I stayed here with our small dog for 2 weeks. We were coming to Charleston for a reunion and this was a last minute reservation due to the hurricane in Florida and we could not get our sailboat to Charleston. What I liked about the property: off street parking large enough for 3 cars, very comfortable sofa in the living room, the sitting area in the back yard, there is a charcoal grill, the shower was nice with plenty of hot water, the owners were very quick to respond with any issues. There were bags of chips provided and coffee pods. What we did not like: the neighborhood is a bit run down, the Ring key pad lock was a pain to deal with, upon entry the home had an awful smell and we had to go buy candles and the owner also provided one. The kitchen is not well equipped, we had to go buy mixing bowls to use. There is absolutely no storage for clothes. When we arrived we didn't even have hangers. They did bring hangers to us the next day. However, there are no dressers in any of the bedrooms. This made it difficult for a 2 week stay. The beds are extremely uncomfortable and the king bed is so tall that it's hard to get in and out of. The back yard, while having one of my favorite features in the sitting area, was undesirable. There is no grass, and that also keeps the kitchen floor dirty with so much dust blowing in any time the back door was opened. The backyard was also covered in broken glass. I spent over an hour picking up glass so my small dog would not get it in her paws. There was a hammock, but was so dirty that I would not dare use it. There was also a fire pit that we did use, however it was rusted all the way through so it made it very difficult to have a fire. But the most disturbing thing about the home was the roaches. They did have someone come treat for them 3 times while we were there. And on our last day there were still roaches. The over-all feel of the home felt as if it was furnished with 2nd hand furniture and dishes. Unfortunately, I would not stay there again.

  - While they wish the neighborhood looked more maintained, they are unable to influence the area beyond their own property.
  - The Ring keypad lock may be tricky for some guests, but the owner was not made aware of the issue.
  - The kitchen supply has been restocked to ensure the kitchen is better equipped moving forward.
  - The home features three large closets, and while they were surprised to hear that there were no hangers, they appreciated you letting them know so they could provide more during your stay.
  - While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, mattress taste is subjective, and we have never received any complaints about this in the past. We're sorry the mattress didn't meet your needs.
  - The lack of grass in the backyard is due to its shaded nature, but they have plans to install artificial grass to improve the space.
  - The hammock and rusted fire pit will be replaced.
  - Regarding the roach issue, the homeowner immediately called an exterminator who treated the home multiple times during your stay. They will continue with regular treatments to ensure this doesn’t reoccur.
  
  We do all we can to make our homes the best possible stays, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. Thank you for your insight as we continue to improve for future guests!

• Convenient Clean Easy

  Owner was very accommodating, and was available at 1am to help us navigate the lock.

  Place was clean and MUCH larger than it looks from the outside.

  There was a nice backyard area to relax, and the house was on a very low traffic road.

  Highly recommend for the price!

• Good deal at a bad time

  The house was available on short notice, which worked well for us, as our trip was NOT for a pleasant vacation, instead we were attending the memorial for my Father-in-law. House owner was patient and understood the difficulties of the trip, and was available to address the very minor issues that cropped up. Nice, affordable place in a very expensive town!

• 2324 Eagle Drive, small, but nicely located

  Smallish house, decent yard. Beds are very comfortable, nice kitchen, PET FRIENDLY!

  House is conveniently located to I-26, I-526, Rivers Avenue, Charleston International Airport, and Charleston AFB.

  Property was clean, there were some pre-existing damages in the property, small things mainly. The information on the property said that the pet fee would be charged pre-trip. After arriving i was charged an additional $122 for bringing a pet. There should be an option to whether or not you are bringing a pet and you shpuld be charged at checkout, not mid-trip. Also., the property has CSI security. There is a camera on the monitor inside that points into the living room. There are photos of past tenants stored on the device which is a HUGE violation of privacy to me and should be unacceptable.

  - We have the utmost respect for our guests' privacy and were unaware of the camera feature on the security system capturing images. After your feedback, the camera has been disabled to ensure future guests' comfort. Please note that CPI, the security provider, informed us that the images cannot be reviewed through an app, nor are they accessible by anyone. Additionally, we have added the camera to the property description, and will be covered while a guest is staying at the property.
  - The pet fee is disclosed in the listing description. Vrbo allows this fee to be added at the time of booking, but we understand how it could have been overlooked.
  - We aim to keep our property in top condition, but we’ll review any existing damages and make necessary repairs to ensure a better experience for future guests.
