• Refreshing week at the beach

  The house was very nice and even though the weather was not the best we enjoyed our stay. Although it can sleep four, the second bedroom is small and the bed might not be comfortable for some adults. The larger bedroom is nice. The location is great for beach goers and it is a short drive to Newport and convenient for other RI side trips as well. We would stay again.

  Cute place, no real parking spot, parked on grass, shower could use a hand shower, there were several spiders in one of the bedrooms.

  Hi Helen, we're glad you had a good stay overall. After reading your feedback, the homeowner would like to share the following:
  - We agree that the parking situation is not ideal, with no real paved area. Parking is on the grass, with one spot by the shed for garbage, and another spot on an angle. Parking on the grass along the road is also acceptable.
  - The shower and bathroom were fully renovated recently, and we will consider a handheld shower option. The outdoor shower has a handheld feature, with hot and cold water and a beautiful view during the warmer months.
  - We wish we had been notified about all the spiders. We’ve never heard concerns about them, and personally have never seen them on recent visits to the cottage. We will address it promptly.

  The cottage was nice, clean and comfortable. Very nice location. Close to ocean, beaches and restaurants. Kitchen was well equipped.

  I do need to mention that the beds have very firm mattresses. My husband could not sleep on them, too firm for his back, so he slept on the couch the whole visit. It was also a strain on my back, but I didn't have any other option.

  The heating system is also loud. You don't notice it much during the day but at night it is loud.
