  • Nice location but not clean

    My spouse and I stayed two nights and I splurged a bit thinking this would be a romantic spot to stay while visiting family. It ended up having a funky smell as soon as I opened the door and the overall layout of the place was weird. It definitely is quirky and the style is a little odd. It unfortunately was not cleaned well, which completely turned me off. There was a dirty piece of gauze stuck to the comforter and a dirty paper plate in the kitchen. Also, make sure you know the padlock combo before you get there, as cell service is horrible. The bathroom was a bit tricky with hot water and it was a bit frustrating to try and get it working.

    Owner's response: Ali, Our goal is to provide each guest with a clean and comfortable place to stay, we were disappointed to see your review.

    - We take cleanliness very seriously and have not had any issues with the property not being cleaned to our standards. We are not aware of any odors but will have the cleaners check on this to ensure everything is ok. They do a great job and even iron the linens so this was surprising to us.
    - The shower is a "pull" handle and some people have found it difficult to use so we will be changing it out to a simple turn handle.
    - We're sorry if you felt the layout was a bit quirky but we feel it gives the location its own personality.

    We are confident that future guests will have excellent stays! We will continue to deliver the 5-star experiences we know we can deliver.
