• Awesome Stay

  Booked a long weekend with a group of buddies and we were very happy with the accommodations. Very comfortable, even with 8 guys; plenty of beds, spacious living room with a nice TV for when we were just hanging out. Fire pit layout was awesome, and we spent almost every night out there enjoying the fall evenings. The basement game room was a nice bonus.

  Keith, the property manager was extremely quick to respond to any questions we had. A+ job supporting us on our stay and making sure we were comfortable.

  Home and surrounding area is gorgeous. The home was in great shape when we arrived and was thoroughly cleaned.

• Nice but somewhat dirty

  The place was not clean and many things were falling apart. The shower curtains had mildew, the floors we dirty, cobwebs everywhere. The hand dish soap were both watered down so much that they were ineffective. The host tried to get me to pay $100 for HOA fee instead of $50. The pool and beach was NOT included and cost an additional fee person.

  -The $100 HOA fee was a mistake, and the property manager confirmed that this was communicated to you directly over the phone.
  -The home was cleaned thoroughly prior to your stay, but the homeowner has requested an additional detailed deep cleaning to ensure even higher standards going forward.
  -The homeowner will also work with Evolve to make the small fee for pool and beach access clearer on the listing.

• Disappointed

  We arrived and were told to go to administration building and pick up passes and get map. First printer was broken and no map, second indoor pool was closed for maintainence which we should have been told and they said there was additional fee for passes of $30 per person which we were told in the property description access to pools and lake so this was a real blow. Then when we got to the property the floors were dirty, fan was filthy along with air conditioners. Broken door on kitchen sink cupboard along with multiple broken items like screens on porch and lights on driveway and could not find towels, which ended up being in dryer which we had to fold and there were only 2 washclothes for 10 people and no kitchen dish rags. We were also told papertowels and toliet paper and there was some out but no replacements. We were initially very upset and i do feel i was way overcharged and i am going to report this to vrbo and the owners. I truly feel we deserve a partial refund.

  We did try to deal and since this was our first family vacation ever i didn't want this to ruin it. But overall disappointed.

  Hi Diane, the homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following details:
  - We were in regular communication with you from the moment you arrived, addressing your concerns throughout the stay. We understand you were disappointed that the indoor pool was closed for maintenance, which we were not informed of, however, the outdoor pool and lake were available.
  - It's also unfortunate that you misunderstood that "passes" were needed, thinking the pool/lake passes were included when it referred to the entry pass. To address your dissatisfaction, we covered the HOA rental fee so you could use those funds for pool/lake passes.
  - When you expressed frustration over not finding a map, we forwarded a copy to you and informed you of the map in the home's Guest Book. We also informed you beforehand about a missing kitchen cabinet door, which was awaiting repair.
  - Due to your early check-in request, the towels were not fully prepared, but we acknowledged the need to restock them.
  - Additionally, when you requested entry for your daughter’s friend, which is typically not allowed by the property’s HOA, we managed to arrange it.
  - Throughout your three-night stay, we tried to accommodate you by paying the HOA fee, arranging for a map, allowing early check-in, and arranging entry for your daughter's guest.
  - Despite our efforts, we’re sorry that you remained dissatisfied, and unfortunately, minor issues seemed to impact your overall experience, even though the weather and outdoor amenities were favorable.

• Family vacation

  The property had a lot to offer. The layout was great for our family. The lake and the Clubhouse were fun and lively and we spent much of our time swimming and playing at the playgrounds. Deer were always out and about on the property and we enjoyed the wildlife.

  I hadn't realized that all of the amenities were an extra fee and the property was left a bit messy with wrappers and bottles left from a previois stay.

  Overall we enjoyed our stay.
