• Beautiful property, big house, but a little outdated

  The manager was very quick to respond and gave me a direct line of communication that worked well. The house was clean and they let us check in a little early even though the cleaners were still there. The house had plenty of space, a bathroom on each floor, and a beautiful open kitchen to the main floor living room. The televisions were outdated which was annoying considering the kids we traveled with were used to streaming. The cable package was super basic and didn’t include any kid channels. The TV in my bedroom didn’t even connect to the cable box. I felt like they were a little strict about rules, but I’m assuming that’s because of other guests taking advantage. Overall I would recommend this place provided you’re not there to party. Good location, private, but a 30 minute drive to Jim Thorpe which we really enjoyed. Lots of places to hike close by and a few restaurants within 5 minutes. We didn’t make it to the beach but it looked nice. We really enjoyed the fire pit as well! It was a great long weekend. .

• Weekend Getaway!

  This house is exactly as in the pictures on the website (washing machine/dryer were updated though). Everything was clean, neat and very spacious with enough rooms and privacy for a large group of people (we were a party of 4 adults). The outdoors was incredibly tranquil and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting by the lake watching the sun rise/set, fish jumping in and out the water and listening to the sounds of nature. We were fortunate to have great weather and stayed up late and enjoyed the fire pit, sipping on wine and making smores. We did horseback riding about 20 mins away and enjoyed eating at a few local restaurants nearby.

  The binder in the kitchen is a must read, has lots of valuable information and recommendations. The manager, Kelli, was very friendly and incredibly prompt in responding to questions and solving any concerns that may have come up.

  Please note that there’s lots of stairs (as noted on the website). The first floor has a complete bedroom and full bath, along with the recreational/gaming room, which we enjoyed playing the pool table (although the chalk and tips of pool sticks could be replaced – a bit worn out).

  Overall, it was a great relaxing weekend and experience and this house did not disappoint!
