Such a great location. Short walk from the water with dunes on the way. The home itself has all the essentials with a couple of fabulous views.

Was hoping a nice evening sitting on deck but deck chairs were filthy and covered with bird excrement. Had to take out the dining chairs onto the deck. No table available. Woodwork inside and deck in poor shape. Online did not indicate narrow, steep, difficult stairs. We elected to keep suitcases on the dining table. The place was clean but smelled of mildew.

From the owner:
"Hi Jeri, we appreciate your honest feedback and apologize that we dropped the ball. Our cleaners checked the cottage after your departure and did not notice any smells, but they ran our ozone machine in the unit to ensure there were no odors or mildew.
We are so sorry about the bird droppings. The swallows migrate to the Oregon Coast every spring and immediately start building nests. Typically, we catch them quickly and put measures in place to deter them from nesting on the buildings. We didn't have guests in Unit 1 the week before your arrival, so our staff must not have noticed that the swallows had started nesting.
Again, we apologize for the oversight on this and hope you'll return again for a better stay in the future."
Loved the location, sheets and towels were very clean. The rest of the unit could use some serious love. Using packaging tape to hold together the bathroom door is a unique use of materials. The floors and bathroom could really use a strong cleaning. The stairs to the second floor are very steep and I don’t recommend for anyone with bifocals or vertigo! Great location!
