• Beachfront Bliss

  Don't let the shabby outside when you pull up fool you! This large studio-style space is lovely inside. The king bed was so comfortable, as was the couch (which my son chose over the very uncomfortable futon), and the loft was just a perfect space for my other kiddo! Views do not get better than this when it comes to endless stretches of straight, sandy beaches! The windows span the entire front and wrap both front corners. The deck is super skinny so not a great space beyond sitting side by side in the few plastic chairs to sip coffee and watch the ocean (which is hard to do from inside unless you are standing up or sitting at the table since the furniture all sits too low to see over the deck railing and the dunes to the sea). Most often it was fine that the windows did not have screens, although there are so many swallows nesting under the deck that they swoop uncomfortably close, the bees sometimes wanted inside when we were cooking and the moths were drawn to the lights inside at night. The kitchen had JUST enough supplies for us to get by, but don't expect a lot (literally only 4 coffee cups, for example). Access to the beach is great, although watch for those pesky thorns in the "yard" between the house and the trail. The location was great, south of Waldport by a few miles and as such, that much closer to the adorable town of Yachats! Don't miss the Surf Shop in Waldport - ask Eric about his Guinness Book of World Records holding! Eat at Luna Sea in Yachats and watch the sunset from the state park there. Seal Rock is not far and at low tide has fantastic tide pooling. Take the trip to see Devil's Churn and to drive up to the top of Cape Perpetua! All in all, a great rental for me, my two teen boys and my mom. We had a fantastic time.

  The property was spacious and well-appointed. I didn't realize that it was a 2nd floor property (I should have looked at the pictures more closely, haha!), but that wasn't an issue. GREAT access to the beach, which was very quiet and beautiful!

• Holiday getaway

  We’ve stayed in this studio apartment before and love it. It’s cozy with a great view and awesome beach access. This trip didn’t disappoint either!

  We had a great time. Easy to the beach. Had a wonderful little balcony. The sunset view was amazing. The plce was very clean and had more space than needed. The apartment down stairs is not rentable at the time, so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. A few suggestions, the lack of a “bedroom” closet was hard. At least add more hangers. Plus I would suggests a few coat hooks or a rack of some kind. A nice feature would also be a dishwasher. And maybe a few kitchen hand towels. It was a great place. And we had a great time!
