We didn't want to leave!
5/5 My mother and I didn't want to leave! A flood in our home put us at Ruby Drive before Thanksgiving. We had Christmas and New Years there and grew quite attached but finally pried ourselves away, at last, on a sunny day at the end of March. It was far longer than we had imagined but the elegant refuge made it feel like a retreat.
The kitchen had everything a San Francisco cook would want and more. Linens and bath were appointed with everything necessary and warm floors. The outdoor fire pit and chairs were beyond expectation – looking up at stars remedied hours of looking down at computer.
Shanna and Steve were exceedingly generous in allowing me to set up an office the way I needed to keep the gas on my start-up edtech co. They were especially kind in ensuring furnishings were comfortable and accessible for my mother.
From Mom, "Thank you for your most generous and gracious welcome to this home. It truly is hard to leave! You have been the best landlords ever. We will not forget you."
