and have a quiet refuge.
This log cabin was huge, and was apparent the maintenance had not be taken care of.
Oven was very dirty, cookware unusable due to missing teflon. Toilet in main level bathroom kept running as well as the shower dripping.

Hi Mary jo, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and after sending your feedback to the homeowner, they’d like to share the following:
- We sincerely apologize for the aspects of your stay that did not meet your expectations. We take maintenance and cleanliness very seriously, and we strive to ensure that all our guests have a relaxing and enjoyable experience.
- Regarding the oven, we are addressing the issue immediately with our housekeeping team. It’s unusual for us to receive a comment like this, as our cleaner typically does a fantastic job, but we’ll be inspecting the property personally to ensure it’s up to our high standards.
- As for the cookware, we are surprised to hear about your experience. The cookware was replaced less than a year ago, and we do provide additional pots and pans in the pantry for larger parties, which may have led to some confusion. Regardless, we will make sure that the newer set is clearly accessible for future guests.
- We truly wish you had reached out during your stay about the running toilet and dripping shower, as we would have sent our handyman right away. Small maintenance issues like these are usually quick fixes, and we’re always happy to resolve them as soon as possible. We recently upgraded the showerhead, and it may simply need some minor adjustments, which we’ll also take care of.
- We appreciate your honest feedback and will use it to continue improving our guest experience. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any further concerns or if you'd like to give us another opportunity to provide you with a more enjoyable stay in the future.
We had a great stay and love the property BUT there are some details you need to address: We could not get the TV in living room to work at all; bedroom TVs did not play DVDs. Please leave instructions on stove operation. the 2 oven stove was impossible to program temp for. Screen saysselect temp and press enter, but no enter button. Other stove controls corroded. Many pans, and all spice bottles, terribly greasy. Broken hinge on cabinet below kitchen sink. Has clearly been this way a long time without fixing. N o instructions how to light fire pit.

Three groups gathered here from Europe, Asia, and the USA. The location was convenient and private, the view was magnificent, and the lodge was lovely. Plenty of room for 9 people (three families). The location was very convenient for Bend and Sisters and we ventured as far as Newberry volcano and the Painted Hills for day trips. The architecture and furnishings of the lodge were warm, welcoming, and overall memorable. The Great Room is a standout.Mornings and evenings were spent on the front porch with spectacular panoramic views all the way from Bachelor to Mt Washington, with the Three Sisters front and center. It was also a great location for evening stargazing. The back porch has plenty of room for family meals together. All the necessary basics are provided including some extras like toiletries and all were high quality. There are updates and a some TLC needed to the building. The kitchen is dated, the showers drip, the upstaits water/plumbing thumps regularly, but overall these are minor and did not detract from our stay. There is road noise for most of the day from Highway 20, but again not a major issue unless you have windows open or are in the yard. There is no cable TV, but the WiFi worked well enough for streaming, although we really didn't spend much time on this.Overall a memorable experience and we strongly recommend Juniper Acres.

Beautiful experience! The house was perfect. The house was clean and spacious. The view is spectacular! Rebecca, the host, was very kind. Deer right in your yard. Nice quiet street with wildlife everywhere. Cozy wood stove with plenty of wood in the living room. Well stocked kitchen. Would love to be able to come back.
