5/5 Anniversary trip
3/5 The house was adequate and what we expected in some ways. When making this reservation I asked if they could do anything special for our anniversary there was never a response given. We assumed they probably did not have that ability. However two things that concern us, One was the fireplace. My wife wanted a vacation where we had a fireplace. When arrival we find out the fireplace was not in working order. To be honest if we knew this up front we would have never Stayed here because it was not what we wanted. Second we could not get the furnace to go over 68 degrees. This is probably fine for most Americans.But my wife and myself prefer our home warmer. We improvised by turning the oven on until the cottage was at a temperature, we were okay with, then shut it off for the night as not to cause any danger to the property. Lastly, the price was a little higher than we expected.Even though it had cleaning fees we had to do most of the cleaning. We would stay in this area again but probably not at this location.

- Unfortunately, we weren’t notified of your anniversary request through the booking platform, but we would have loved the opportunity to make your stay special, and wish you had reached out to us directly.
- The indoor fireplace is decorative and has not been operational since the 1950s. To avoid future confusion, we've since updated the listing to clarify this. The property does offer an outdoor fireplace and firepit for guests to enjoy.
- Your stay coincided with an unusual arctic blast that set records for the area. The HVAC system has since been checked and is in full working order, but historic homes can take extra effort to heat in extreme cold. Space heaters are available upon request, though they are rarely needed.
We appreciate your insight and hope you’ll consider a return visit in more typical weather conditions!

5/5 We booked this cottage for a girls weekend and it was perfect! Plenty of room for the three of us and close to everything we wanted! Super cute place! We will be back!
