The pictures for this cabin need updated. What you don't see is the newly constructed giant red industrial looking building that sits about 20 yards away from the cabin. The remote feel and scenery are missing completely now. Whatever it is it's new construction. Road noise is so-so since the cabin is pretty close to a busy major highway. This area is becoming very commercial and busy. The cabin itself was very nice and clean. Plenty of clean towels, cups, plates, silverware and other items. Friendly and responsive hostess. All in all our 3 day 2 night stay was pleasant, albeit rainy.

The cabin was great. There was construction very close by which was noisy and ruined the view and praceful atmosphere but the cabin itself made for a very pleasant get away. Glad we were able to visit Hochatown before it becomes another too busy, too crowded tourist town instead of a really lovely place to just be able to get away.

I was a little bummed we couldn't check in a little early. I know that it be summer time it stays busy. When we went to go check it at 3pm our cabin still was not ready. We had to wait 20 mins. Which isn't that bad.
The cabin was clean and had dishes, coffee maker, silverware and extra blankets and pillows. Which was nice. Also inside the showers it had dispensers which had shampo and conditioner and body wash which I thought was very cool.
The hot tub at so much chlorine in it that it burned my eyes just sitting in it. Which was kind of a bummer bc I could not stay in it long.
I loved how it was pretty much in town. It was convenient when we got done with the lake and had to change and go do our next activity.
Would I book this cabin again? Yes I would.
The cabin was a good size for our family of 4 and conveniently located to all the activities we had planned. However, we were unaware of how close the cabin was to the main road. Also, we were not informed there was active construction going on right next door/in our yard. Looking at a porta potty off our back porch was not was we had expected. The construction also started at 7am Friday and there was large beams right in our backyard where our kids wanted to play. One of the reason we selected this particular cabin was for the volleyball court and playground that was pictured and advertised in the listing. I’m assuming those things were where the building is currently being constructed. This was very disappointing to our children as they were looking forward to the volleyball and swing set we assumed would be on the property or close by. I feel as though the listing and pictures were deceptive to the environment we were actually in. I would not have been so upset had we need notified of the construction and lack of volleyball court/ play ground prior to our arrival. Overall the cabin and property was clean and well kept.
