5/5 Camp Shady Rest was perfect for a weekend getaway on the lake. It was very relaxing spending time on the lake and we enjoyed using the kayak as well! The house had all the essentials and was very cozy. The location was great-restaurants/coffee shops nearby and a short ride down town and to the race track. We plan to return to Camp Shady Rest in the future!

5/5 My wife, children, and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Camp Shady Rest was perfect for us: comfortable, clean, no stress, right on the lake-easy and fun. Excellent value for the great location. There was more than enough space for my wife and me, plus 3 toddlers and a baby. We used the kayak and swam every day. I fished off the dock every morning and it was quiet and peaceful. The enormous lakeside private lawn was great for games, picnics, and just relaxing. My children wanted to stay “forever,” so we are planning a return visit in August or September, and hopefully for an extended stay next summer. The sunsets were perfection…
