This cabin is in a prime spot for you to easily access a plethora of outdoor activities or other area attractions. Grindstone Lake is just 2 miles from the property where you can hike, bike, fish, or swim in the reservoir.
If you don’t mind driving long distances, Lincoln National Forest is an hour to an hour and a half away and offers hiking, biking, and horseback riding trails. White Sands National Monument is another attraction approximately 1.5 hours away if you wish to visit there as well.
During the winter months, grab your snow gear and head to Ski Apache or Ruidoso Winter Park. Other fun attractions include the Billy the Kid Casino and the Ruidoso Downs Race Track, Inn of the Mountain Gods Casino, Pillow’s Funtrackers, and Mescalero Lake.

Great Escape
5/5 We have previously stayed at this cabin and love all the upgrades that have been made. It truly is a great escape, a quiet area that really lets you relax.
Big city prices for a small town stay!
3/5 The cabin itself was nice inside. I would suggest to the owner to have the shower door fixed. It did not close all the way and took longer trying to close it from the inside than the actual shower itself. On the outside, not so much. The pictures that were posted did not reflect the area. I would suggest not having families with kids stay here or recovering alcoholics. There were a lot of bottles strewed all over the outside of the house. I'm not a prude, updated pictures would have been great! There were also neighbors to each side and we thought we were going to have the area to ourselves and possibly hike but that was not the case. Also, it does not have central heat/air as posted. There's one window unit in one room and will need to sleep with the "curtains" wide open so the rest of the cabin can get air. One of the beds made a lot of noise so we had to sleep on the other bed. A little disappointed on the price; big city prices for a small town stay.
2/5 The picture of the property on your website didn't accurately display the property. It is in a bad neighborhood, and there is yard art that is not pleasing to the average customer (my opinion). Using extension and power strips for electricity is not safe. There are not enough kitchen linens. House was clean. Nancy Gilmore
