Cons: -These units are 45 years old and, other than appliances and some of the plumbing fixtures, it seems little has been updated in this one. I say “some” of the plumbing fixtures since the showerhead was at my chin level, and I’m 5’10”. Can’t imagine my 6’4” grandson showering in this.-We found fishhooks embedded in the bedroom shag carpet – in precisely the spot where one stands before getting into bed (with bare feet of course). One fishhook was completely rusted so you know it’s been there a long time.-The high-tech digital door lock malfunctioned on about 4 out of 5 attempts. We reported this to the manager who said someone would come out to change the battery while we were out for the day. When we returned, the front door was unlocked. Subsequently, the lock failed numerous times. -This place has 5 sinks but only 2 working hand soap dispensers. There were 2 inoperative dispensers.-No soap provided for the showers. On request the property manager delivered several kinds of liquid shampoo, body wash, etc. but all I needed was a simple bar of soap. -Red River is a noisy place, with almost as many UTVs as trucks (not so many cars) and these UTVs are racing around late at night.Pros: The property manager was always readily available by phone and certainly made some attempts to take care of things. So maybe a B for effort but a D for results.-The beds were comfortable.-There is a 3rd floor space that looks ideal for kids (just inspect for fish hooks first)

    Manager's Response:

Hi Harvey, thanks for your feedback. Our cleaner stocked soaps and shampoo in each bathroom, and when we stopped by on July 27, everything was clean, the lock was working well, and the home was guest-ready. I’ll follow up with the cleaner about the fish hooks—thanks for pointing that out. We’re always working to provide a great stay at a fair price, and I’m sorry to hear this one didn’t meet your expectations.

This was a perfect “home” for our family vacation. We enjoyed the bedroom arrangement as the 2 couples of us had our own rooms and the 2 almost adult girls like the 3rd floor all to themselves. The balcony got plenty of use. The location was perfect for fishing, eating, shopping, availability to all of downtown shops and coffee spots. The Mitch was well stocked with all the dishes and pits and pans we needed. It was clean and tidy. Thank you. We may ask for this place again.
