This cabin is fantastic! It's well stocked with essentials and much more. The king bed is on the firmer side, which is perfect for me. The 'dog park' is adorable and the house is well curated for groups with pets. A snow shovel and dog-safe ice salt was provided, as well as some snacks, which is very thoughtful. This cabin has everything we needed and it's in a great location. We could easily walk into town. Deer hang around the neighborhood and we spotted wild horses not far from town!
FYI on accessibility - the winter parking (lower access) is a steep gravel path up to the home. Our elderly family members weren't able to visit us because the access wasn't possible for them. The top access is much better with the pull-through driveway + ramp/step combo, but is only available in summer/dry conditions. Both the pull-through (summer) and lower access path (winter) are gravel and uneven. Grading the access paths would improve accessibility
From the owner: "Thank you for your beautiful feedback. The top access pull-through drive is available in the winter as conditions permit unless there is a lot of snow and then parking is recommended down below. The ramps are located for ease of entry at the top parking area. In the winter 4 wheel drive is recommended with snowy conditions. We did purchase a pillow top for the primary king bed if you all visit again! We would love to have you!"
Great !!! Love the house and love Cloudcroft and the welcoming committee of mule deer was an exciting start to our vacation.
From the owner: "So glad you enjoyed it! Yes, there is an entire welcoming committee. We just love to watch them. Hope to see you back!"
This was a great property with deer, close to town and amenities, and super clean. I have no complaints but maybe a suggestion or two? The thermostat is locked which is fine but it automatically turns down to 60 degrees at 10:30PM which, if you're all asleep by then, you wake up very cold. Also, there arent any usable outlets in the living area to charge phones or plug anything in that you might need. Other than that, wonderful place!

Shared from the owner: "Hi Jenna, we’re delighted you enjoyed your stay. The thermostat is locked due to the high cost of propane, but we have a pellet stove that provides excellent heat, and each bed is equipped with its own heated mattress pad. We’re always just a call or text away and would have been happy to adjust the thermostat if needed."
It was good. Hot water is universally the left but not in the master bath. It should be labeled. There were no trash bags—we had to buy some.

From the owner: "So glad you enjoyed your stay! We were a call away and would have been happy to bring you trash bags. They are typically right under the sink."
Not for those looking for an upscale place. But it’s clean and in a nice place in town

"Hi Ben, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're glad you appreciated the cleanliness and beautiful location of the property. Our home is indeed a permanent manufactured residence. We take pride in the peaceful setting nestled in the pines and the unique wildlife that frequents the property. We thank you again for your feedback. We hope our beautiful amenities like the pellet stove, extensive Trex decking with ramps for ease of access, and recent updates such as the new stainless steel dishwasher and beautiful flooring installed this week will continue to enhance our guest's experience."
