If you think this place looks good in the pictures, just wait til you see it in real life. The views are amazing. The furniture is comfy. The kitchen is well-stocked. The hot tub is dreamy. And the host gave great directions. What more could you want?
If you're a hot tub enthusiast, this place is for you. The hot tub looks older but let me tell you... it holds temperature like it just came off the showroom floor. It was hot 'n ready upon arrival and was the perfect spot to end each day.
We were here after a lot of snow, ice, and sleet had hit the area and the mountain road was kept perfectly clear. The driveway was a little intimidating but there was really only one icy patch and the drive is designed to make entering and exiting really easy.
The bedrooms feel very private from each other and from the common space. It was a little chilly for us to enjoy the porch but that would surely be the best place to hang out most times of the year.
This was a great pick of a place to stay in WNC. We'd gladly stay again and again.
The view is amazing!! Very nice cabin as well.

The cabin itself is nice, cozy, and private with easy access and a decent (for now) view. Some tree trimming would improve both the view and likely the internet service (fixed wireless).
Where this property quickly lets you down is all of the guest touchpoints. Especially disappointing given the premium rates charged.
The kitchen is poorly equipped (a single pot, pan, baking sheet), incomplete glass sets like only 3 wine glasses, etc. I would call it adequate as long as you only plan to get takeout. Only 3 chairs at the poker table. As seen in the photos, there's also only seating for 3 in the living room area...guest #4 will need to pull up a kitchen chair. The pattern continues with the outdoor seating...2 matched pairs and a singleton.
As with the kitchen, the towel count was barely acceptable, especially for a property boasting both indoor/outdoor spas. I only found one true large size bath towel and most were clearly the lowest cost optional available when stocking the property. The same budget approach was used with the bed linens/pillows.
If you need high speed internet for remote work, be aware the fixed wireless service is only 10/5. This may be inadequate for some applications.
The hot tub really needs a cover lift given the size and placement against the railing. The outdoor tub had been freshly drained/filled per Evolve contact and the floater contained visible sanitizer...the way a spa should be maintained, but isn't always in our experience.
As mentioned in other reviews...there's something up with the hot water plumbing at this place. Only the rain head was useable in the master shower and only when turned to full hot. Any attempt to add a little cold to the mix appears to shutdown the hot water flow (tankless?) although pressure remained the same. The wall shower head would only provide cold water with any pressure...turning it to full hot reduced flow to a trickle that never got beyond lukewarm, unlike the rain head.
It sounds nitpicky until it's your shin in the middle of the night... The main bed appears to actually be a California King with a king mattress. Visually, you assume the mattress is the end of the bed until your shin discovers there's another 6" of frame lying in wait.
While I wanted to applaud the actual property caretaker(s), at checkout we discovered what appeared to be 2-3 previous stays' worth of trash in the cart when we added our contribution so nobody was rolling it out for pickup.
Everything about the cabin and location was wonderful, the only two negatives that I can say are that 1. there were only two folding camping chairs to sit on the deck, which is crazy since the view made you want to spend as much time as possible on the deck and my 6’2 husband was not comfortable sitting in one of those chairs.
2. There didn’t seem to be enough hot water for the shower. My thoughts were either that the hot water heater needed turned up or that one of the elements had burned out because in order to take a warm shower, I had to have the hot water turned all the way on as far as it would go, meaning that there was no cold water turned on at all, and therefore there was less water pressure also. The host offered to send someone out to check it but we just opted to deal with it instead, but told them they should have it checked after we left.
