The home is extremely clean, well equipped for the most part. There is not a crockpot provided so take your own. Some places have them, some don't when you rent. The views and wildlife you see from the deck are amazing! The internet service was down more than it worked but we weren't on vacation to watch TV so that didn't have a bearing on us but if you are traveling with kids you may want to download a few things they can entertain themselves with in case it is down. We ride bikes and the gate sensor would not open for us to leave so we had to have someone walk through to other side and open. I did let owner know and he had not been made aware of that issue before so it could already be in the works to be fixed. Overall though, the property is gorgeous, people are friendly and the owner is super responsive.
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was comfortable and the decor felt like you were home. It was close to small towns, waterfalls and the blue ridge parkway. At the end of the day we were able to come back to the cabin with beautiful scenery at our back door. Oh I can’t forget to mention a gorgeous pavilion that sits next to the cabin. Words can’t explain the beauty of the cabin, grounds or the pavilion. We all agreeded that we should come back. Thanks Mike for helping us when we first came in. Thanks Alice
From the owner: "Alice, thank you so much for the wonderful words about our cabin. We think it’s a special place, too! We are looking forward to hosting you again this fall when the leaves are changing, and everything on the mountain is popping with color!"
