My husband and I spent some time staying in the ‘Sugar Shack’ condo! When we arrived at the condo and walked in, we had a lovely surprise!! It was a warm and inviting place to spend time for the weekend. It was clean with all of the amenities we would ever need. The bed was comfortable and we slept well, especially with the windows and doors open. We spent time on the balcony looking at the beautiful mountains that surrounded the condo on both sides.
I would highly recommend staying at this clean, beautiful and well decorated place in the mountains. The beauty can be seen for miles!!
We had a wonderful experience. The Sugar Shack is decorated so nicely and attention to every little detail was noticed. Remotes for the ceiling fans mounted on the walls, labeling on all the light switches, comfortable beds and lovely bedding, and a well equipped kitchen.
We enjoyed the gorgeous views of Grandfather Mountain and the long range views from the porch and inside the condo.
The Sugar Shack at SugarTop Resort is a very cozy and relaxing place to refresh and enjoy the mountains. It is very convenient to wonderful Restaurants in Banner Elk and not far from a large range of things to see and do. We visited Valle Crucis and the Mast Store, downtown Boone and ate at the Daniel Boone Inn and even ate at Blowing Rock Six Pence Pub and ate ice cream at the Park there. I look forward to going back to the Sugar Shack to enjoy all the seasons there. Lots of things to see and do and to stay in a lovely place.
This is an excellent rental property at an incredibly low price! I would suspect it is the best furnished condo and in the best condition as any in the entire building. The decor is perfect for the mountain location and the kitchen is probably better equipped than most home kitchens. Top quality linens on the beds and sumptuous cotton towels. Large HD TVs everywhere! The elevation is over 5,000 feet. So, excellent fans and open windows keep every room very comfortable on hot days and perfect for sleeping at night. The breathtaking view changes each day by the hour as the fog rolls over the valleys and dissipates as the sun moves up in the sky. The Sugar Mountain ski slopes are nearby as are also the fun towns of Banner Elk, Boone and Blowing Rock. And don't miss the incredible, old fashioned penny candy selections at the Old Mast Store in Valle Crusis! The Artisanal Restaurant on Dobbins Road in nearby Banner Elk is one of the very best fine dining venues in the Southeast, but booking a table in advance is a must. We will go back many times. Will probably book again for next month. I hope it is available!
