  Shirelles Ford Haven was a lovely lakefront home to stay. They have an incredible dock with a large roofed area with seating and it looks brand new. The interior is perfectly decorated and spacious. Renting a boat is very easy along with the additional equipment for tubing and kneeboarding! Excellent experience!

• Lake Stay

  The home itself was nice. A bit older but very clean and comfortable and well stocked. Very nice view of the lake. My only complaint is that the extreme steepness of the incline to get down to the lake was not made clear. I believe the listing just said you needed to be able to climb stairs. It ended up being much more difficult than stair climbing as there were no steps at all after stepping away from the last little step by the deck. It was very difficult to walk down and even more difficult to climb back up. You cannot tell this from the listing photos. We rented a boat for the week so we had to make that climb several times daily. And had to carry cooler, towels etc. And lastly…the ducks. Poop everywhere. All in the grass, on the boat dock. Walking down at night to enjoy a fire, stepping in the poop was unavoidable because there were no lights in the back. Impossible to see.

  We want our guests to know exactly what to expect, so we appreciate you sharing this feedback. After reviewing your comments, the homeowner wanted to share the following:
  -The incline to the lake is shown in the listing photos, including photo #21, and a utility wagon is available on the downstairs patio to help carry items.
  -The pier is cleaned at least once a week, and a pooper scooper is provided for guests who’d like to tidy up between cleanings. Ducks and geese are part of the natural lakefront environment, so we can’t control when or where they decide to visit.
  -Outdoor lights are located on the stairs, around the fire pit, and on the pier, with flashlights available for extra visibility at night.
  -While the home is older, it was fully renovated just over two years ago from top to bottom.
  Thanks again for your insight, and we hope future guests will continue to enjoy this home’s comfort and beautiful lake views!

  This house was absolutely perfect. Had everything you could need. Wonderful family living space. The house was lovely and well decorated. The views and overall experience were unforgettable. Lovely stay. Plan to go back.
