  Great mini getaway! This cozy two bedroom was perfect for my husband and I to visit Oak Island. There are two bikes provided that made the 1/2 mile to beach and Publix easy. We loved sitting on the back porch for morning coffee. Everything is updated. Kitchen is well appointed with had everything we needed including a spice rack. All the appliances were high end. We loved the check ins from the owner. Quick response to questions we had.

  We were really looking forward to this trip, but were disappointed. The outdoor trash from previous guests, including seafood, sat for days and made the whole property smell. Management did very little to help. We also saw a few cockroaches inside, and the furniture cover was so dirty we had to cover it ourselves. Unfortunately, it just didn’t feel clean or well cared for, which was a letdown for our family.

We put a lot of time, care, and resources into making sure the home is ready for guests, as my own family also enjoys staying here. In fact, every other review we’ve received has been 5 stars, with many guests specifically complimenting the cleanliness of the property. After reviewing your feedback, I’d like to share the following:
  -The property has weekly trash pickup through a rollout service, but during very hot weather, outdoor bins can develop odors. As soon as I was notified, I arranged for someone to move the trash can away from the house the same day.
  -The home is on a regular pest control schedule and was treated right before your arrival, so it’s surprising to hear about cockroaches. This is not something previous guests have reported, but I’ll follow up with the pest control company to be sure.
  -I’ve purchased and installed a new cover for the couch to ensure it’s fresh and clean for future guests.
  While there are aspects of your review I see differently, I truly regret that your experience fell short of 5 stars, and I’ll use your feedback to keep improving for future stays.

  Great location! The home had a lot of natural light and we enjoyed spending time in the living area and lounging on the deck. Was a perfect place for our short vacation!

• Quiet and relaxed neighborhood

  We enjoyed this clean, small home. It had everything we needed for the 3 of us. There was plenty of parking and the backyard was nice, the hammock was a great touch. The area is very quiet and feels very safe with families riding bikes. Short distance to the beach and even shorter to the waterway. I would definitely stay here again.
