  Beautiful setting. Well stocked kitchen. Getting to pet and play with the family dog was an extra bonus. Owners very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Would definitely stay again.

• Excellent Riverside Retreat near New Bern

  This is a clean, well-stocked retreat that has most of the comforts of home. The property is serene and remote, but still close to town & hiking. Marisol was a great host and easy to communicate with. We really enjoyed sitting by the water, kayaking, fishing, and visiting with their lovely dog, Roo.

• Nice quiet getaway

  Originally, I was supposed to come down with my 11 year old daughter but she got sick the two days before I left so the trip was just me.

  The property is very quiet and centrally located if you want to check out New Bern and the Croatan National Park.

  Since my itinerary with my daughter was blown I had to pivot to other things and the park turned out to be fantastic hiking. A quick 15 minutes away you also get to see the New Bern civil war battlefield with an interesting history. The house was great! Very clean and well maintained. I think it’s the best maintained property I’ve enjoyed using VRBO. Also, the owners were friendly and very nice. I brought my own dog which worked out great.
