  This was the perfect get away for the weekend. Close enough to lake lure to get out but secluded and quiet. It was a fantastic spot for bird watching too.

  We wanted to get away and just relax and this home was perfect! We loved waking up and enjoying our coffee on the deck listening to nature and enjoying the beautiful view! The hosts had everything we could possibly need. So easy to get to Lake Lure and Chimney Rock to explore all of its beauty and small town charm. We had so much fun hiking up Chimney Rock, going horseback riding, playing in the water and eating at amazing restaurants. In the evenings the peace and quiet on the deck made our days complete and we can’t wait to go back.

  Love staying in this cabin! Great location, beautiful views! Conveniently close to camping, hiking, site seeing. Can't wait to go back.

  We were disappointed to arrive to a hot home. After 30 minutes of trying to get AC on we communicated with the property contract provided. The individual was apologetic and noted he intended to replace the compressor. Because of the remote location no AC service could be sent. After several calls the reservation was cancelled and we hopefully will receive a refund. This rentaul is actually management through a service called "Evolve" and I give them credit for being as responsive as possible given the circumstances. Similar to the AC system the home appears a bit dated but was clean. The location is more remote than we realized but we could have done more research to realize this. The location has views of the foothills and is in a valley area. This would be a nice place if some one wanted a remote getaway and did not expect recently updated interiors or amenities.

  - We received a phone call from the guests reporting the A/C issues upon check-in and promptly contacted Evolve to arrange for an alternative rental in the area. We also authorized a full refund on the same evening. Prior to the guest's call, we weren't aware that the A/C was malfunctioning. As it was a Friday when this occurred, we made arrangements for A/C servicing on the following Monday and it was repaired at this time.
