  I will start by saying that I loved the screened porch next to the water. This was exactly how I wanted to enjoy a stress free and relaxing few days. Unfortunately, that was interrupted on my first full day there by the property management company calling to inform me the home owner had accused me of having a dog there. He came to this conclusion because he heard a dog barking on the OUTSIDE Ring camera. I don't even own a dog and certainly didn't have one with me on this trip. This false accusation really upset me and put a damper on what could have been a peaceful few days. I feel like the property management company should have required actual proof before calling me on this. I won't book another property that uses Evolve and I would hope that this property owner will be less paranoid in the future.

  We strive to maintain a pet-free home to ensure that guests with allergies can stay comfortably, which is why we are vigilant about upholding this policy. Unfortunately, our recent experiences with guests bringing pets onto the property despite our policy have made us more cautious than usual. When we heard a dog barking on the property through our Ring camera, we reached out to confirm, as we wanted to be certain that our pet-free policy was being respected.
  
  That said, we understand how upsetting it must have been to feel accused, especially when you assured us that no pet was present. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and for the impact it had on your experience. We will be re-evaluating our processes to prevent misunderstandings like this in the future.

  This place has my heart! The laid back peaceful atmosphere was just what my heart needed! We enjoyed building a fire in the fire pit and sitting by the big creek under the bright moonlight! Morning coffee on the screened in porch with the sounds of the creek was so nice! This place had everything we needed and then some! We couldn't have asked for anything more! Far enough out so you're not in the high traffic area but close enough to enjoy all of the amenities that hayesville and surrounding areas have to offer! We will be back (hopefully many times)!

  My husband and I stayed here in May for our 5th anniversary. It was perfect for us. The description was accurate however it didn’t do it justice. The owners went above and beyond to make this place feel like home. In fact it was so relaxing our 10week old baby slept 6 hours straight the first night!!!! There is a special book in the living room that gave us lots of ideas for exploring when we come back. And we will be back after our baby gets a bit older lol.

• Weekend getaway

  The property is absolutely beautiful! We stayed here while we visited family in the area and it could not have been more perfect! It is close to town and shops, the lake, and restaurants. The house was very clean and neat. We enjoyed fishing and wading in the creek, building fires, and enjoying the peace and sound of the creek from the porch. We will definitely be staying here again!
